Hi all

I wanna ask for American Express Platinum Credit Card. It says 1st year annual fee waiver. So after that its RM800.

Can we request MBB to waive the annual fee? and do they usually waive it?

I'm hoping to get this card for the perks of going into Plaza Premium Lounges at KLIA and LCCT

thanks

if you want just access to KLIA lounge, there are cards that are "free" and no need to trouble yourself in appealing to get the RM800 waived.

Click here to read about card with free access to KLIA Plaza Premium Lounge.

May b u can try this , I'm using it now for purposely go lounge ONLY, no limit access to the lounge for KLIA or LCCT (as i use this card enter KLIA Plaza Premium lounge 3 or 4 times every month drool.gif ). For the 1st year free, and after tat RM250 for continuous year, this month will be my 2nd year already, dont know they can free-waive for me or not, since i only use 1 time only. hehe~

@beyond86
I think now Membership Rewards points are not able to redeem cash as well (RM1 =200 points). I no longer get to find this in AMEX website.

Anyone care to share? Thank you.

I redeemed it 2 weeks ago, you may call AMEX Helpdesk to check if you want to redeem.

That is only applicable to the MR type Amex cards, not the TP amex cards.

Anyone got their Jan cashback yet? Can someone share the Amex Gold CC CS number for overseas?

MR= Membership reward point = Pure Amex
TP = Treat point= Maybankard cc

so urs is Treatpoint which can't redeem to cash

To add to above, the processing dept or somebody got to key in the application into system. Call then after 5 to 7 working days.

It's great to see a community of Amex holders here. May i suggest to compile a list of places who do not accept Amex?

It would help to avoid frustrations and embarrassment when you brandish your Amex in style and being told it is not accepted at their outlet.

We did list out the places that accept AMEX last time. It's in this thread somewhere, or probably in the previous version.

answered previously: NO... you need to go to Maxis KLCC to pay your Maxis bill on Saturdays & Sundays using AMEX

You may also pay you Maxis bill using Amex in Maxis Sunway & TTDI. Use the Kiosk.

Hi Genx,
I've called the toll free and the CS say that no info is available on the system regarding my application. I've mention in my previous posting. tongue.gif . So just curious how the application process works out
