Now it’s either Emirates or etihad for Middle East airlines

If you want to fly Qatar, use asia miles

I wish that we can transfer to Avios too.
Msia Amex Platinum need to increase more FFP partners!

Nevertheless, we already have two OW FFP for Qatar redemption, not a priority to add Avios.
With Thai Royal Orchid not an attractive FFP, will be glad if they can offer us EVA or ANA or Turkish for Star Alliance.
As for SkyTeam, will be glad to include KLM on top of Delta.

Below is what our neighbour (SG) is getting from Amex redemption partners:
SA: KF, EVA, Thai
OW: AM, Avios, Enrich, Qantas
SkyTeam: China Airlines
Others: Emirates

Then they told me they need to bring up to higher up level
After few days they called me, saying that they have traced back my spending pattern for the whole 2021 and the conclusion was to give me 500k points but i need to pay the fee.

If you spend more, I heard the lowest MR points required to off set your annual fees Is 180k MR Points

any idea roughly how much you spent for year 2021?

Go for it if you can justify paying RM3k+ AF
If you are not familiar with Amex, do check in advance whether those places you go often are accepting Amex

for me, if you not using it for travelling purposes i dont think its worth it
high annual fee , hard to get waiver
besides able to enter AMEX longue world wide with 2 priority pass card ; with some hotel membership which is not really useful - hilton/shangrila/radisson (only the middle tier)
i dont think there are much perks for this charge card
