Hi friends, just want to double check, for our Platinum card we can only redeem MR for miles with the following FFP?

Enrich, KrisFlyer, Asia Miles, Delta Skymiles, Royal Orchid Plus, Etihad Guest and Emirates Skywards

Do you know if we're entitled to redeeming miles with other airlines?
*
Directly no, but indirectly yes

Example you want to redeem ANA flights

You are unable to redeem directly with MR points

But you are able to redeem krishflyer first, then use krishflyer to redeem ANA (both being star alliance members)

Can I do that online or do I have to call Singapore Air? By that you mean actually transferring miles to our ANA FFP account for example, or just redeeming ANA flights?

Edit: OK, nevermind I get what you mean. Thanks for the tip! I'm trying to book a flight from IST to AMS. I can see that via Singapore Air I can set that route, choose "redeem flight", then search, then click Star Alliance and bam, I can choose Turkish Airlines flights smile.gif

Earning air miles and redeeming air miles are two different knowledge.
Both are equivalently important and too big to teach from basic.
Play with redemption is the key, the more you play, the more you master.

I will suggest you to start with the following article on KF - Star Alliance redemption.
https://mainlymiles.com/2020/06/19/which-st...risflyer-miles/

Similarly, you can use Asia miles for OneWorld redemption.
These two FFPs are most common for us, with plenty online guidance to help us too.
Master in these two before explore other FFP.

Unfortunately Amex doesn't offer us too much option.
The 3rd useful is probably Emirates and followed by Etihad.
Always understand why you redeem certain FFP.
Consolidate into few FFP rather than keeping plenty FFPs with little miles.
We try to avoid orphaned miles which we can't redeem via CC.

Thanks for the tips!! Yes I do agree with everything you said and will keep in mind your advice on consolidating FFP. For me, it looks like with KF I can cover a lot of ground already. I haven’t had much experience with Oneworld but hopefully when more destinations open up I’ll be able to dabble with it smile.gif

Thanks. I think the most worthy is to convert that to airmiles when want to use it?

Is it just me or Maybank has given up on AMEX? I've been trying to call the CS for days at 1800889559 but no one is picking up the call at all.

Any of you managed to get in touch with CS recently?

I'm actually a Corporate card holder but there's an option for Platinum card queue in 1800-88-9559 too which I've also tried but I've been placed in the automated voice queue for half an hour too. sad.gif

It's all good now, managed to get hold of them via email at mgcc@maybank.com.my.

Anyway, the CS who called me said they're operation capacity should be coming back to normal now.

Just a heads up for anyone wanting to purchase movie tickets on TGV site. Once you get to the payment gateway using credit card, you will see only Visa and Mastercard option, however I tried entering AMEX and it actually proceeded and accepted my payment with TAC
