Quite interested to apply this card but most of the time it will be not utilized lol. Nice thick heavy metal card. Too bad the AF quite expensive.

Does the AF reflect directly into your acc ? I been using maybank card since 2007 until now. Any goodies come with the approval ?

Anyone recently converted MR points to miles? Usually I redeem to Enrich it reflects in a few mins but recently it has been taking a few days. I just called up CS to convert more MR to miles, they said Platinum charge card will take longer now, "up to 21 days" because they have to send a request to "Amex department". A bit scary, I have a trip on the 4th of Jan and need the MR points to book hotel. Hope I can receive my points in time.

Few weeks ago i request transfer treatpoints (M2P) to Kris Flyer, it took less than 10 mins to reflect in my KF account, wonder why MR..especially plat card take up to 21 days! sound ridiculous ><

My last transfer from MR to KF, CS told me up to 21 days too but it only took 5 days

guess theres not much incentive to choose plat now that CIMB TWE is giving them a run for their money

Depend on what you're looking for. Amex Plat come with unlimited priority pass and centurion lounge access, where CIMB TWE is entitle for 12x per year for plaza premium lounge only.

If lounge access and partner airlines selection (such as Singapore Airlines) is not your thing, then CIMB TWE is definitely better option to go for. MasterCard is widely accept everywhere... AMEX is kinda limited in Malaysia.

The 3k ringgit annual fee is a turn off for me.
Priority Pass just worth 400 ringgit per annual

Centurion lounge is great but mostly based in US airports,
The lounges in US usually not that impressive

Iinm it comes with delta airline lounge also, but who gonna take delta air flight lol

actually I never pay AF. For the first year i paid AF and redeemed it using the welcome bonus points. Following years either waive or offset with certain amount of MR. anyway, the waiver/offset with MR depends on your annual usage too. I know MBB private banking customer dont even have to request for waive, bank will auto waive it.

So worth or not, it really depends how much you can benefit from the perks and annual usage.
