there aren't any market updates that I can uninstall...

I'm on WiFi.

Surprisingly, Google replied me regarding this issue. Asked me to perform what is already stated in the troubleshoot page. Replied with a lengthy email to them. haha. Quite specific problem coz it happened after I tried to download after trying to install an app from the web market (which failed to start). I highlighted the same issue in the Market thread here.

lol i've cleared all data there is. I even factory resetted the phone. Market still stuck at 'starting downlaod...'.

GTalk doesn't connect. GMail retrieves mail flawlessly. I really dunno what went wrong there.

Pretty sure something wrong with my Google Account already...

loll this is interesting. The Android Market problem. It seems the WiFi at my campus got problem or something. I use wifi at some mamak place near my campus, Market works flawlessly. Is it even possible to selectively block access to Android Market by a WiFi access point ah? lol

my iPod friend said 'Apps Store didn't kena block also...'. lollll.

Google replied me, saying Market is not accessible from Malaysia at the moment. I said I know paid apps can't but free apps also can't ATM. Replied me with a list of free apps accessible country that apparently doesn't include Malaysia. lazy argue with that fella since my issue got resolved already. They really should consider putting 'try different access points' as a troubleshoot step.

^ Custom ROM or still stock? Best bet for stock is factory data reset under privacy settings.

Quick question: Nokia's micro-USB compatible with HTC? I read some about screen lockup and stuff wondering if it will affect

^ No point in pursuing that. At the end of the day you'll tone down to conserve battery. SetCPU and CPU Tuner are the famous ones.

@illusi0nat0r, the phone comes with a cable though... So you don't have to worry about incompatibility. In theory it should work, though wouldn't be surprised if it doesn't.

I bought a 3rd party micro-USB charger and while charging, the screen will not response to any touch input at all, unless I unplug it.
