Be sure to follow step by step, example website i follow is this http://wiki.cyanogenmod.com/index.php?titl...sire_Z:_Rooting or http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=843014 ...just be sure to follow all the step they give then everything will be ok. and ya, psx4droid kinda laggy on 800mhz, overclocking to around 1.2~1.4ghz should be fine.

QUOTE(DJFoo000 @ Mar 6 2011, 09:49 PM) ^ No point in pursuing that. At the end of the day you'll tone down to conserve battery. SetCPU and CPU Tuner are the famous ones. @illusi0nat0r, the phone comes with a cable though... So you don't have to worry about incompatibility. In theory it should work, though wouldn't be surprised if it doesn't. I bought a 3rd party micro-USB charger and while charging, the screen will not response to any touch input at all, unless I unplug it. QUOTE(YuuYuu @ Mar 7 2011, 02:12 AM) for those who doesn't know, bb charger and htc charger can use with each other without any problems recently found that out myself Ah i see.. so it isn't much of a problem then. I need more chargers for my workplace, home and maybe my car.. And i have a few nokia usb cables lying around.. to save a little extra money

^would advise to do all customisation and hacking on your own, so that when there's a problem you know why it happens and how to solve it. Doing it yourself really reveals a lot about the workings of android as a system. It's not that hard, really. Reading is an essential skill, I must say.

Most importantly is to follow all the step given and for flashing custom rom, most importantly is to do nandroid backup.

[gussing]
if you're on #1.34, pretty sure it's the 1.72 ROM. There's some reading to do regarding regaining root in 1.72.
If you're on 1.72 already, it could be 1.84. Rooting details are not clear yet but it should follow the one for 1.72, in theory.
If you're on 1.84 already, I dunno. Gingerbread isn't supposed to be here so soon.
[/guessing]
Rule of thumb is to not accept any OTA update as far as rooting is concerned.
