lol the breach doesn't exist on our phones, because the Desire Z has been neglected, and thus did not receive the offending OTA.

My phone keeps on rebooting when there's no SIM, but stable when I put the SIM in. Using VU at the moment.

Any idea?

Thanks.

i recommend ILWT CM7 228, it is CM stable 7.1, it is faster than official CM7.1. but be careful, dont check the thread too much, or you'll get the flashing syndrome tongue.gif if i am going for CM i'll go for ILWT CM7 and stick with ver 228 until another major update. you can find it here http://j.mp/qJfVNA but for now, im sticking with sense, it is too nice tongue.gif

did u do a nandroid backup? you can restore the nandroid first, then backup all the apps with titanium backup. flash new rom and restore apps from titanium.

another option is to use an app called AppExtractor. it can restore apps from your nandroid backup directly, you can get it here http://j.mp/oe7NL6

I wouldn't rely on Android Market to download the apps. Best practice is to backup and restore on TiB. Works every time.

Sry dunno how to force Market to restore apps.

Had some problems with CM7 (since nightlies). ILWT is the only one that ShootMe works on.

AFAIK, HTC phones ROMs come with kernels. Yes, wipe then flash.

try flashing superwipe first, it is at the first page of ILWT. superwipe first, then reboot to recovery, and flash ILWT.

btw, a noob question doh.gif , what buttons need to be pressed to go to recovery straight from power off state? tongue.gif

my definition of bootloop : after booting in, the homescreen appears then after a second or two, it shuts off and reboot..never ending cycle

Added on October 17, 2011, 8:07 pmi wiped everything..dalvik, data, system, cache, sd-ext

Added on October 17, 2011, 8:08 pmwhat triggered? i didnt reboot ytd after loading into the rom for the first time..earlier i had to restart to adjust haptic feedback..now it's bootlooping
