still. but not sure if it will be approved or not laugh.gif

u will pay rm50 gst for 1 year for credit card. why just want to use once or twice a year?
use it wisely. pay all the statement balance.

just convert all ur cash-flow now to the card.

example is for ur telco.
using postpaid, pay the bill with credit card.
using prepaid, go topup at tesco/giant then pay with credit card.

with that u wont use once or twice a year ~

Ya, what i can do is pay my mobile phone bill by credit card every month and convert some cash-flow by using the card. I really stupid tongue.gif

I got this from OCBC FAQ.

What types of transactions are excluded from the ‘Retail Spend Rebate’?
Recurring Payment/Auto Debit transactions, Flexi Payment Plan (FPP), Savvy Saver Plan (SSP), Balance Transfers, Cash Advance, Call-for-Cash, Dial-a-Cash, Dial-a-Cheque, Outstanding Balance, Finance Charges, Annual Fees, Late Charges, Reversals, Fraudulent Retail Transactions and other fees and charges are not eligible for the Spend Rebate.

Recurring Payment/Auto Debit transactions cant get cash rebate??

Just a quick question as i can't find anything related to this is the few versions back.. Hope someone can help to clarify ~

Everyone knows banks look at our ccris when we use a card to apply for another card.

But will the ccris shows all the history of our record if the credit card is automatically upgraded from classic to gold? My suspicious arise when i notice my application for a new card was rejected and out of surprise my gold card number is different from the classic...

pls read more here - http://www.hasil.org.my/pdf/pdfam/Issuance...xReturn2010.pdf

for me, no need for u to trouble urself to apply for the maybankard 2.
just apply another card and use the card approved to apply for maybankard 2 after 1 year later.

- if u confused, u can call the bank directly to ask, or just ask it here smile.gif

- yes, once u have credit card, try to use it wisely. dont overspend.

- yes, use the DA for for 6 months with clean record (always pay full, even this is what it should be),
and apply another card that accept 6 months card example PBB.

so far at OCBC website also didnt mention that 5% for auto-billing, just 5% for bills (for MC Ti) sweat.gif

while for amex gold credit card, 5x MR for telco bill, only with autopay (auto debit).
if just pay manually then only get 2x MR.

They still can claim the money as far as i am concerned. Problem will only arise if you refuse to honor the transaction and dispute it.
*
QUOTE(charymsylyn @ Jan 24 2011, 09:53 PM)
Yes. Signature on the merchant slip is not important at the point of transaction. Credit card works on a user dispute system. After card authorisation, bank will pay the merchant and that's the end of the story unless the customer disputes the transaction. If this happens, the bank will check and a correctly signed merchant slip will be considered proof that a non-fraudulent transaction did occur.

The bank will be very suspicious if the customer disputes a lot of transactions and all of the merchant slips are not signed or incorrectly signed. whistling.gif

For the forumer who might want to dispute a purchase since the signed merchant slip was given incorrectly, you might want to check whether the shop had any cctv's near the cashier before actually calling the bank.  biggrin.gif

So it is still a valid transaction, dangerous weii sweat.gif

Rejection for a new card can be for a various of reasons. Correct me if I'm wrong but you did not view your own CCRIS right but you are only speculating that it is due to the card upgrade. Please don't bring the guys here on a wild goose chase because you did not provide any other information such as ...
- Did you check your own CCRIS yet ?
- Did you ever become guarantor for other people ?
- How many secured and unsecured debts do you have ?
- How many cc do you have ?
- Did you ever miss any payments for anything ?
- What's your total exposure ?
- etc ....

Like I said ... they are many reasons your cc application being rejected. Without a complete information of your own financial background, we'll be giving you wrong advise as well. I know may have been helpful (e.g. erry and the rest) but please be realistic ... there're things which require more background information.

I filled in the online interest form on Thursday and received their call on Friday. I applied for the cards directly through phone from the CS officer who called me on Friday. However until now the status is still "no application" when I checked from MBB hotline just now.

For OCBC Titanium MC, cash back is given to auto debit transactions. I can confirm this.

I do that too, hehe, but trying not to swipe for dining purpose. The other day my colleague used her card to pay for stuffs she bought at Watsons, then the cashier took her card and MIA for some time. Then he informed that her card can't be used. She's just afraid if the cashier did swipe her card or something. Now she's waiting for her statement in order to check.

erm... actually.. my question is very simple and straight forward....

does a card upgrade will affect my records in ccris being 'restarted', meaning i need to use it for another year to have the '1 year' record, or the old and new card's ccris will be 'linked' even though the number is different?

to be honest, i'm not very sure why you emphasize so much on the reason i was being rejected... shakehead.gif
everyone who visit this forum since the past few versions know that asking things blindly will ended up being shot ~~ so yes, i'm fully aware of the list you written~~ no offence on the way i replied, just feel some people would take the opportunity to blast when there is a 'opening'~
