QUOTE(hazairi @ Jan 24 2011, 10:31 PM)
guys, a question, let's say we exceeded the credit card usage.
For example, the credit limit is 5k.
Spent until 5.2k.If we pay the bank rm700 and the credit drops to 4.5k, can we still use the card?
*
wondering how can u swipe 5.2k if ur CL is 5k? maybe u get temp CL increase.

anyway the answer is, u can still swipe rm500 (since recent is 4.5k out of 5k).

next time, pay 1st before swipe (to increase the CL).

Because you are a contract staff, you need to write Employer = Company A (the one that issues your pay and payslip).
From Company A, they would know you are a contract staff to be stationed at Company B.

But company A do not have fixed phone number and just have the boss mobile contact only....?

Which type of cc is the best that i can apply? I seldom shopping and maybe just use cc for food, petrol, pay some debt, booking online,etc...

I seldom use actually, maybe i need free for life cc ? then i can use it when really needed.... smile.gif

Thanks if you can give an advise tongue.gif

Do you think "CIMB Direct Access MasterCard / Visa Gold" is good for me to apply? And will it approve my application? Or other bank like MayBank?

One more thing is, how long i can know the result and get the card after i submit the application? Where i can collect the cc? Just wish to know tongue.gif

Have you ever tried CIMB Bank/Direct Access ? Since you're a degree holder, you can try Direct Access first.

1st, pls differentiate CIMB and DA.

DA do offer card for degree holder, while CIMB dont.

CIMB, like other bank - u can apply without degree, just the salary slip. the req is based on the salary.

ok?

its ok. maybe u confused.

Direct Access previously owned by Southern Bank. but now is under CIMB.
ok that is graduate card offered by DA.

while CIMB (http://www.cimbbank.com.my) didnt offer any graduate card.

btw, try to apply card with lowest requirement, and apply it with salesman doing promo at (example is) hypermarket (not apply at the bank).
usually they will help u to get the card (to achieve their sales target).
after u get the card, use it wisely. next year, u can use the card to apply for another card.

yes.

example with PBB (Public Bank Berhad), they only need 6 months card to apply with them:

If you have been a Principal credit cardholder for at least 6 months with a credit card that is issued in Malaysia and valid worldwide, just enclose
* Photostat copy of your NRIC (both sides) or Passport and Work Permit for Non-Malaysians; and
* Photostat copy of your Credit Card (front only).

its best if u make the payment record good.
besides, that is what credit card supposed to be.
if u plan to have debt and bad payment record, then sorry, u are planning to failed sweat.gif

so back to ur question, yes, u can use it to apply for another card thumbup.gif

pls read the requirement 1st before apply ok?

Minimum annual income:RM30,000

Required documents
* Copy of NRIC (both sides) or Passport, including that of supplementary applicant's
* Latest BE form with official tax receipt
* Latest 2 months' salary slips
* Latest 3 months' savings account activity/current account statement

since u dont have a '1 year credit card', so u need to submit all those documents.
if u dont have BE form with official tax receipt, no need to apply then sweat.gif

still. but not sure if it will be approved or not laugh.gif

u will pay rm50 gst for 1 year for credit card. why just want to use once or twice a year?
use it wisely. pay all the statement balance.

just convert all ur cash-flow now to the card.

example is for ur telco.
using postpaid, pay the bill with credit card.
using prepaid, go topup at tesco/giant then pay with credit card.

with that u wont use once or twice a year ~
