usually used for netbeans,vb, photoshop
casual gaming with medium graphic setups.
bcoz i prefer high fps. nothing else
a MUST have is a nice speaker sound.
size . 14" or 15"
max weight for me is 2.5kg.
already used to bring my current acer 4736G around on classes

If not buying in a hurry, its best to wait for the newer SB-powered laptops, the wait will be worth it.
Some of the SB laptops include Asus A53SV, N53SV, N43SL, Acer 5750G, Lenovo Y560P etc. The Asus N series offers impressive Bang & Oufsen speakers, Lenovo offers JBL speakers (iinm). The upcoming Dell XPS lineups will have JBL speakers as well whereas those from Toshiba will have harman/kardon

The ones available now either has good specs but poor speakers OR has older specs but good speakers... not very good I would say, why compromise? haha

yeah , A53SV coming on march 8th, ok will help u ask tmr, N53SN,right? any model else?

i want SB + more than average speaker equipped notebook

SB laptops will only be available after one month or two... but occasional stocks for certain models, like the A53SV mentioned by djronzai.
Anyway, you can keep an eye out on Asus N series laptop [Bang & Olufsen speakers] i.e. N43SL [14 inch] (specs to be announced soon), N53SN [15 inch] (i7-2630QM + GT550M@RM3499), N53SV (i5-2420QM + GT540M@RM2799).

OR

Lenovo Y560P (i7-2630QM + ATI 6570@~RM3k) [JBL speakers]
SB laptops from Dell (JBL) and Toshiba (harman/kardon) ain't released yet, can keep track of them as well

It's reasonable that they won't keep too much stocks of the old i5-480M lappies since new SB dual cores all around the same price also... LIke A53Sv, exact same price as A52Jv but better specs haha.. What is Asus Malaysia thinking!? Asus A52Jv just came out 1-2weeks ago haha

Help ask N43SL what spec they bringing to the market in malaysia.

Generally, in terms of performance: A52Jv=A42Jp>N43Jf
But in terms of build and features: N43Jf>A52Jv=A42Jp

It depends on whether you want a 14 incher or a 15 incher.
And also whether you want better built/features OR better price:performance.
Asus N series =premium line
Asus A series = budget line

Worth the wait for PC fair or the price is same as LYP?

Probably the same, imho its not worth the hassle to go through all the crowds during the Fair to find the laptops you want....
Some more them booths will be so crowded that you won't be able to check everything properly even after you've made your purchase...

OMG LOL Bad decision idea for PC Fair then.
It's my first time to be living at KL with PC fair schedule there and I never went KLCC PC Fair before :shy:
