i am planning to buy either A42JP or A52JV (use for engineering works like matlab and games like starcraft 2, which i think they suit my need) but if i am not so rush to have a laptop (need one between march to april), should i wait until march since i think asus will have a newer batch of laptop that time?

other than that, what is the major difference between A42JP and A52JV other than their screen size?

thanks for helping me notworthy.gif

when will Lenovo Y560P and/or Asus N53SV come to malaysia(roughly?)

and other than acer 5750G, are there other laptops that got similar specs from the 2 laptops mentioned above?

Lenovo Y560P is already available. Asus N53SN/SV/A53SV will probably be available in a few weeks time...
Other alternatives include HP's DV6  and Dell's XPS 15 nod.gif

those 2 models are more than my budgets (<3k) if i checked correctly><

some stupid questions...
- amd 6570 compared with gt 540 which one better? (notebookcheck.net rank (i think its rank) amd 6570 higher than gt 540 but the benchmarks (again, i think) is lower)
- i5 and i7, does i7 perform way better than i5 (since its quad core?) or its depend on what applications you are using?
- do lenovo and asus laptops get many negative feedback (like what i heard from my friends said acer and dell laptops not good)

thats all for now, thanks for answering my questions notworthy.gif

The new i7-2630QM comes with integrated Intel HD 3000 and thus can support GPU switching i.e. Nvidia Optimus for significantly longer battery lives
And its estimated to be approx. 50% better than the previous i7-740QM in terms of performance

iirc old i7 can last around 2 hours. so the new i7 can last around 3-4 hours?

btw how long can the new i5 lasts?

The Acer 5750G (i7-2630QM + GT540M) is capable of reaching 5 hours or so according to reviews...
A very big improvement from the older i7  nod.gif
Not sure how the new i5s fare though, perhaps can ask the new users?
