want to buy new laptop

budget is RM2400~2500max
size 14" and brand asus or anything that got good quality (not easily fail )

Buying in a hurry? If not then its advisable to wait for the upcoming SB processors which are way more powerful at the same power consumption
The wait will definitely be worth it

If urgent, then can consider Acer 4820TG (i5-480M + ATI 6550@RM24xx)/ Acer 3820TG (13 inch)...

These are the best for your price range. Or top up to get the Asus A42Jp (i5-480M + ATI 6570@RM2699)... and even Asus N43Jf (EOL already, but really good deal; i5-480M + GT425@RM2699) if you can still find one..
Toshiba is slightly less powerful but can take a look as well Satellite L645-1123/24/25 (i5-460M + ATI5650@~RM2.5k-2.6k)

Nope I can wait but do you know when the upcoming SB processors are released?

They were already released, only that the chipset flaws resulted in most of the available SB laptops (that time) being recalled.... hence we need to wait for awhile for appropriate measures to be made by Intel and manufacturers.
Expect market recovery at around April-May...

We'd probably have a full range of SB laptops from all brands to choose from during that time
But of course you can choose not to wait and go for particular brands i.e. Asus

guys, i just came back from lowyat plaza , pls wait until next week only buy ur laptop becos the price of laptop going to reduce again , according to the shop keeper la , and sad case , there is no more stock for A52JV AND A42JP , march 8th will come new stock A53SV <<< the best choice for budget rm2.5k (performance gamers)

The laptop RRP is about 2999 (by them Apple fanboys from HWM)
Expect to be like about 2.8 or 2.7k No idea what's the price
