QUOTE(mikehuan @ Oct 17 2012, 01:30 AM) The look was pretty obvious. Totally malaysian mentality. No sense of humility whatsoever. Not all powerlifters look like couch potatoes mind you.Whatever you can squat, someone out there is warming up with your max. Getover yourself. Numbers don't mean squat (pun intended) if u look like a couch potato. Powerlifters however, don't fall into this category |

There is a guy in my gym who "use" two equipements at one time.
He's like doing flat bench press and after finish his 1st set, he will go to the situp bench and do the situp. Then he hangs his towel at the situp bench and proceed back to the bench press. hate those type of person. i mean I know you are big and you pay gym fee. i'm not big but hey, i pay my gym fee also. Why so kiasu use 2 equipment at one time? there was once my friend just take his towel and throw to other equipment and proceed to use the equipment. ishhhh |

QUOTE(playerseeker @ Oct 19 2012, 11:31 AM) Well, it's not that hard to ask but every fricking time? Man, it's a common courtesy though, don't you think? Both equipments are not side by side, they are like at end of 2 corners in the gym. Don't know what routine the guy is doing, but you can open your mouth and ask OR if you don't want to ask, just tell him that you're going to use it while he is doing his away set. |

"Do you mind if we share?" It's not that hard. Open your mouth because people can't read your mind. For all you know, he is a nice guy that's just following his own routine. |

I needed to use the bench, so i politely asked whether i could work in-between their sets by using the bench (they were using the dips machine then), and they said NO. WTF!?!! I was like, "O_O Oookay..." and walked away, decided to do something else instead. My gym partner told me later that the British guy was eyeing me with some-sorta anger-filled eyes after i turned away. I suppose they're either just plain selfish, or plain new to the bbing *shrugs* |

Full of ego that is.. It is normal when people occupied two or three machines at the same time because they are doing superset or triple set. If you politely ask them whether we can share, i guess no issue at all. Unless in your case..the british guy...haha....feel like hitting him... |

If there happens to some dude who complaint about it here, here's mah story.
Came to True Fitness for deadlift session. Saw 2 friends. 1 using the power rack, the other outside of the power rack doing deadlifts. Both are basically doing deadlifts. I went in to ask if I could rotate with the dude in the rack. he said ok. Never did rotate with me and used the one outside with his friend instead. I had no issue if I had to match his strength (he was doing 60 and 70 kg deadlifts. I was going for 110) and load or deload the weights. But now I felt like I stole the power rack from the dude. Apologies! |

QUOTE(mikehuan @ Oct 23 2012, 03:05 PM) YUP! Unfortunately, I argued with my mother yesterday as she wants me home to do renovation clean up. So i sucked it up, went home, also lifted some heavy stuff, then went back to the gym.But unfortunate part was that whenever I lifted, the left fingers feel like rolling off the bar. My thumb couldn't stick. (I use a double overhand grip for DLs) But managed to churn out 3 reps. Then went down to 105kg for 4 reps. It was at 105kg that I had the idea to do Hook Grip instead. And I felt proud. I wanted to be polite. Because sharing is caring. I was just telling myself to be focused as much as I can to the lift. The nervousness was quite daunting.Respect for your deadlift 110kg!
