QUOTE(Pepper @ Oct 5 2011, 06:41 PM) +1 thisisbetterthaniexpected.jpg if someone were to say im weak, i will lift, if someone said i lift wrong even if it's in a negative way, i research about it and correct it. the worst you can get is when you lift for so long and no one were to correct you at all, even if it's in the most negative way. there's no need sugarcoating when it come to advice. some ppl needs it, but the most important is the context. mike, stop shooting blank Never ever.diss a beginner's pic. QUOTE(ultra_jet @ Oct 11 2011, 04:43 PM) Without a doubt yes. Its called bodybuilding for a reason not fat building. Do you know how many people I meet claim to be bodybuilders but look like they eat pork chop 5 times a day? |

QUOTE(raynx @ Oct 14 2011, 12:14 AM) Ppl pinching pimples @ the free weight area with their face 1cm away from the mirror! Seen once in taipan true fitness n once more in jaya33 There's an annoying trainer there who acts like he's the shit and talks loud all the time. Used to have blond hair, now redyed it black. jamis, me and kaperskyfan hate the fella. We have labelled him "golden retriever". Know him? |

QUOTE(raynx @ Oct 14 2011, 12:28 AM) Yes. Uneducated piece of shit. And he has one client, a fella who wears glasses with short hair who grunts and screams like he's more hardcore than Branch Warren but throughout the months I see minimal improvement on his physique. Have you see the way he trains him? Forced reps forced reps forced reps. Lousy lousy trainer. And Mr Golden Retriever has juiced before. So maybe that training style might have worked for him but not for his natty client. |

QUOTE(razorboy @ Oct 14 2011, 12:39 AM) Well he should realize he's not improving. Lol. But so far most of the PT's at Jaya 33 True Fitness are pretty good. I've seen their clients improving week by week, month by month. Don't know about the fresh new PT's though. |

QUOTE(razorboy @ Oct 14 2011, 12:49 AM) Kalo mau cut, bawa lipo 6 je. Main high rep , main machine. Kalo nak tangan cut, main high rep tangan. Then proceeds to munch on random junk or randomly sing along loudly to the gym loudspeaker. Lol... on an OT note, I've been training at Giza's TF. I love the environment there, small but VERY good machines. The PT's there didn't believe me when I told them all my arm workouts are only cable work with a Smith machine CGBP or weighted dips thrown in sometimes. So today I camped at the cable attachment station for almost an hour. |

QUOTE(razorboy @ Oct 14 2011, 12:55 AM) I need a change of environment sometimes. It gets stale training all the time in the same place. Like dating the same woman repeatedly. Plus my membership is passport what. This post has been edited by darklight79: Oct 14 2011, 12:57 AM |

QUOTE(mikehuan @ Oct 14 2011, 12:57 AM) this sounds like pt's for normal shoplot gyms, right? well fitness centers are different in a sense that they actually teach them the basic pt stuff, first before being able to get clients. they have different levels of PT's, too. Fitness centers have been getting a lot of bad reputation recently. Heck, not just recently but all the time. But imho, in some ways it can be way better than ghetto gyms. Research and development have progressed by leaps and bounds. Some even function better than the conventional barbell and dumbbell presses. All my chest workouts are pure machine based, I've not touched free weights for that bodypart in months. Shoulders also machine based. |

I mean, I guess if you learn to zone out annoying people there and the shitty noise from the group exercise classes, one can have a really enjoyable workout.

QUOTE(razorboy @ Oct 14 2011, 01:05 AM) Yea. Until my gf's god mom decided to have her house guest slightly longer, and I've got no place to stay for the night. I was actually thinking of directly coming for a day trip to visit Terry and train and go back. Then I realize i'd crash my car On my way back to Ipoh -.- I forgot. He replied. He said he's damn busy preparing for a comp. And he doubts if you can learn much in one session but try giving him a call. |

QUOTE(-Dan @ Oct 17 2011, 01:03 PM) But you could curl my bodyweight if you felt like it. These guys curl the empty barbell. Which gym? I can't curl your bodyweight. I would be Ronnie Coleman already. Last I tried was 63 kg and that was barely 3 reps. Hate the fact barbells did shit for my biceps. My body is one picky b****.And there's a full rack of the smaller barbells with set weights ranging from 10kg to 30kg(which is more than most of them can curl anyway) and yet they hog the squat rack. |

QUOTE(mikehuan @ Oct 19 2011, 12:21 PM) chill, healthy discussion is healthy. hmm i probably need to change my words a bit. by getting a workout i meant being very very sore the next day. and yes, my back gets it more than legs. specifically lower back gets hit the worst damn... was thinking to hit back and chest with you on sat.not just pin placements though since i dl from the floor hip start position matters too. all about leverages. heh, my routine is i rest a day after back days so at least im recharged a bit for shoulders |
