If Ivy Bridge really gets released mid this year, most likely M18X gets revealed there and that would be too long for me with a computer in KL >_<

EDITTED: Well based on lowyat.net, expecting Ivy Bridge to be out in 2012... hope hope M18X gets announced in April or any incoming big events...

you guys probably have heard it but i'd like to share anyways.. hinge prob (M11x R1/R2) will be rectified from March onwards.. wonder if it covers us from Malaysia as well.

so i still can get my hinge fix even though my warranty expired? cuz i think its gonna end in march...

yes my friend. regardless of our warranty, they'll replace it with the improved hinges. however few things come to mind though:

1. method of recall (notice? phone call through dell? mail?)
2. does this program cover us Alienites from Malaysia?

lets cross our fingers, toes included, that this program will proceed with us included..

Hi, may i ask how long does it takes to get m11x after order at dell website?

within 10 days i got my M15x

Help! My one month M11x is died. I can't switch on it at all. Morning it works like charm but when I come back from campus and use it at room.. It is totally no response when I on it. No alien head. The screen is absolute black like when we have off it. Processor and fan weren't working as well..I try many times to press the on button but no response. But a weird thing is I manage to on it one time when I make more than ten time attempt. Until now it can't on yet after I shut down again. What happen actually? Anyone can help me ? i need my lappy asap since a lot coursework at university.

Suggest you few things to do.
Hold down the power button for 15s and then turn it on. [Unplug all connectors]
Try to remove 1 stick of RAM out of the laptop and power it on. [Unplug all connectors]

open the back cover, take out the battery, plug in power, try turning it on... then do the ones as posted before me...

I have hold for 20sec but oso nth come out. Hmm.. The RAM part I gotta find a screw drive to unscrew the unit since I'm at hostel hard to get this thinggy now

Maybe you can call up dell for help.

motherboard fried, most probably, happen to my insp 1520, after 1 week, kapao...

So easily got fried? Wonder the quality control of alienware nowadays. :-(

the quality went down after dell took over IMO, back then i hardly see any1 conplaining about alienware.
