Overheat? Virus? etc.
Try open up task manager and see whats hogging up your cpu and memory. Suggest you get throttlestop and run the log. |

QUOTE(Dominus91 @ Jan 15 2011, 02:29 AM) RM3500 from standingman. tempting price! Go to nvidia control panel to choose either integrated graphics, auto switch or GT335M. BTW, anyone know how to switch the Nvidia and intel HD card manually? because when i press FN + F6, there is no response. Does both card switch automatically? Do anyone know how to tweak them manually? Besides that, Anyone gotta face the FN + F2 problem? because everytime there is only battery enable showing but no battery disable. I have tried to seek for bios setting. I have enable this feature but regrettably, the problem is still remain. Is this a bug or problem? Sorry.hehe.. newbie has lot to ask. lol. hope every sifu can lend me a hand.. TQ so much. FN + F2 doesn't toggle turn on/off charging. It only show the battery status. Ya I'm from penang too. |

QUOTE(Mr.Docter @ Jan 17 2011, 06:26 AM) i will reply your PM regarding the FN keys after doing some research about that ya. quite pack this week Doc do post about the manually gpu switching for R2 if you manage to get some. and don't worry about the naming aspects. if anything happened (God forbid), Dell will contact the name shown and the person will tell that the ownership was already been transferred by the way, there is no owner of M17x-R3 yet? QUOTE(Lil Kiasu @ Jan 17 2011, 03:39 PM) Thats the beast that everyone's talking about huh. |

QUOTE(Dominus91 @ Jan 18 2011, 04:39 PM) hmm.. i think only M11x i7 spec doesnt have VGA port. Because i7 processor need extra space thus VGA port is forced to drop off from M11x. But you can find VGA in i5 or i3 spec M11x . Correct me if I'm wrong. ROFL. There's R1 and R2 of M11x bro. R1 comes with VGA port where R2 doesnt need that kind of old stuff. I hate VGA port. |

Not too sure if there's any particular problems. Another concern you should look into will be nvidia gpu driver. The main things I’m looking for this OS will be light browsing and listening music only. I remember finding driver is such a pain.

QUOTE(Dominus91 @ Feb 9 2011, 10:26 PM) Help! My one month M11x is died. I can't switch on it at all. Morning it works like charm but when I come back from campus and use it at room.. It is totally no response when I on it. No alien head. The screen is absolute black like when we have off it. Processor and fan weren't working as well..I try many times to press the on button but no response. But a weird thing is I manage to on it one time when I make more than ten time attempt. Until now it can't on yet after I shut down again. What happen actually? Anyone can help me ? Suggest you few things to do.Hold down the power button for 15s and then turn it on. [Unplug all connectors] Try to remove 1 stick of RAM out of the laptop and power it on. [Unplug all connectors] |
