No, the 1 year warranty will only be valid for US. not for Malaysia. Dell warranty isn't international.

No. Warranty from us is different from malaysia. Our country default warranty is complete cover and internationally. But for us defaulty warranty is nomral limited warranty and not complete cover.

so there is no strong reason to afford m14x with 3GB memory GPU rite?
since the m14x will not fully utilize it..
so it's better to take 1.5gb & save some money..

I am not quite sure whether warranty in US will work internationally.
But if you bought a system with a premier service warranty (XPS or Alienware system), then it is valid internationally,
For example, currently I'm getting a replacement for my motherboard and AC adapter, in the UK, whereby I bought this SXPS 16 in Malaysia.

Casing replacement price as quoted when dell sent me :
a) Casing set (911WT + KH6NT + VPC14 + KGR2D + 2C0ND) – RM976
1-time engineer service – RM168

or

b)

One year standard hardware (engineer service + parts) warranty + Complete Cover – RM1472


In my opinion, if anyone wants to get their casing replaced might as well get complete cover since only a difference of a few hunder bucks.
But you not only get replacement, you get extension for you warranty.
