i wanna ask, does galaxy s 8gb can do rooting?

compare with my 3gs..when in 2 bar signal,my 3gs load more faster then my galaxy s..its 20-30 seconds more faster n sometimes when fail to load.. swt..

Darky is pretty good, but with 9.x, I have this feeling that's it has become a bit bloated. It's not a slow ROM by any means, but I like my things lean and mean. Was considering Insanity ROM because it seemed like the leanest one this side of CyanogenMod but I was intrigued by Doc's online kitchen too.

With the kitchen ROM at only 148MB and with most of the Samsung shite not included, I am a happy man. Doc's ROM doesn't feel any faster than Darky's, IMHO, but I am hoping for a lower battery drain since most of the inbuilt stuff is no longer there.

Also, I wanted to go up to JS3 firmware but Darky's only at JPY till now..

Can you go to recovery? (switch off, then press all vol up + home + power button simultaneously till screen light up) Do you have 3e recovery or 2e recovery?
If you want the leanest and the meanest, insanity rom 0.5.1 is just 82MB

2. how to know if someone phone already ROOT or not..
3. how to UNROOT and wat happen if UNROOT..

Yesterday I have installed the speedmode K12T. After apply tweak feel some improvement. Now thinking to flash to Darky 9.0.2. Don't know whether is a good combination with speedmod kernel? Any comment? This is my first time flash to custom rom. Just follow procedure below?

since u can go in to recovery mode...what for u need to fix d 3 button combo?

after flash also i cant use my home button liao..only vol and on off button..

2. There's Superuser.apk app in the /system/app folder. Can browse it by using root explorer app.
3. If you root by z4root or oclf, you can unroot with the same app. For other method, search this thread because I've posted the howto.

Rooting is just having access/permission to some stuff normal people shouldn't do. If you unroot, you lose the access. That's all.

in recovery mode to select..b4 this i use home button as select button..
now on off button as select button..

IC, in the green recovery mode, you use the back button instead of home button to select.

Hi all, I have copy the update.zip and Darky rom in the SD folder. Then I boot into Recovery menu and try to appy sdcard:update.zip. It come out E: Can't open /mnt/sdcard/update.zip message. Installation abort.
Is this procedure I no need to follow as I already root and in the ClockworkMod Recovery v2.5.1.0??
Shall I wipe data /factory reset??

u got the wrong step there...do not apply sdcard:update.zip...did your rename the rom tu update.zip?...just leave the name as per your downloaded ...and install using install zip file from sd card...than search the file with same name as your downloaded file
