If I want to format my internal SD card before flashing a new ROM, does it mean that everything will be erased? After I do that, will the phone still boot into recovery? Do I need to transfer the CWM update.zip file and the ROM FILE to external SD card? Thanks |

QUOTE(Fornx @ Jan 11 2011, 10:25 PM) those in ur internal sd will be deleted lor Thanks for the adviceyes, can still boot into recovery mode.. if you flash to new firmware first then, you will have to transfer update.zip and rom file to ur sd.. unless youre going for non-wipe, whereby you can install it straight away through cwm recovery without factory resetting or etc |

Hi sifus,
I'm planning to flash to Darky's v8.0. However, I would like to format my Internal SD card to start from fresh. A normal Factory reset will NOT clean up Internal SD Card. If i select Format Internal SD card, eveything will be wipe out, right? But will my phone boot up after that? Where do I put Darky's ROM? In my external SD card? What about CWM update.zip file? In external SD card as well? Will my 3 button combo into recovery mode still works if the Update.zip file is no longer in Internal SD card after a reformatting? Really worried I screw up and brick my SGS... Help needed. Thanks |

QUOTE(erymanthus @ Jan 13 2011, 05:41 PM) Okay, I did the Internal SD Card format. After that, the update.zip and Darky's Rom file in Internal SD card wiped out. I have to copy back from external SD card into Internal SD card again. Then, apply the Update.zip again via 3-button combo. Then apply Darky's ROM. Booted in successfully. Now the phone (internal sd card) is super clean. No more junk files I accummulated over the past few months. Starting afresh is nice...ahh!!!! |

Anyone knows of any good apps to reduce the size of a video recorded by our SGS?
The video is usually quite big and takes a long time to upload to facebook etc. I can transfer to PC and use a PC software to convert to smaller files...but I was wondering whether there is any Android apps that can do the same on our SGS directly... Thanks |

QUOTE(kmrdeva @ Jan 16 2011, 01:21 PM) It does happen to me quite often. In fact, I am so fed up with this that I only now read the latest forum postings on the phone. All replies are typed at the computer hence why I seem quite inactive in the forum. Thank you for responding. Do u know what is the cause? If only LYN forum would support Tapatalk.. Is it the browser, ROM, SGS hardware or the website problem? |
