what i mean is u can't hear the sound coming out from the rear speaker during the test if using optical/coax...
switch to 6-channel [direct] if u wanna hear the test on all the speakers...

i bought it last month at ikea ! stock clearance already ! left about 10 unit/box only at at clearance price of 59.00 per pair/box ! so i grab two box just in case next time i need a pair of stand for my front speaker too ! haha . really value for money cause it's real heavy & well build/nice finishing !
by the way the board is from one of my trophy ( from my days of remote control nitro gas car racing - got too many of them so just peel of the logo/name metal plate and use the board ). hahhaha

I just got my z5500 couple of weeks ago but i do not face this popping sound as what you all have mentioned. Hopefully this won't happen to my unit *touch wood* tongue.gif

Just to share with you all, my unit is those 'exposed-wire' connectors like those used in hi-fi sets; unlike those hard-soldered RCA-like connectors used in older units 1-2 years ago. I might be using a new revised set by Logitech after all those complaints by user few years back. But how can i verify it? I don't see any revision number stated anywhere on the box or the speakers itself.

Anyone with the same unit like mine can share their side of story here?

i dun think there is any revised version of z5500...u can mod the z5500 but its kinda rare and not popular

logitech will not concern abt this complaint as it jz consist of 1% of the z5500 reported from customers hav the popping issue...who knows the percentage?(simply easy to manipulate it...depends on logitech whether or not to solve it)

i bought it once its launched...and mine hav the connectors same as urs...
i often face the popping issue but there are times dont...
