i dun think there is any revised version of z5500...u can mod the z5500 but its kinda rare and not popular

logitech will not concern abt this complaint as it jz consist of 1% of the z5500 reported from customers hav the popping issue...who knows the percentage?(simply easy to manipulate it...depends on logitech whether or not to solve it)

i bought it once its launched...and mine hav the connectors same as urs...
i often face the popping issue but there are times dont...
*
i got the popping issue also ! whenever i switch off lights ! but can live with it cause the overall performance is sweet !

QUOTE(jerren @ Apr 12 2007, 05:11 PM)
i have bad experience in using speaker stand....
kinda careless when the stand is around my room, wil acidently knock it and fall on the floor, my previous Creative speaker grill has broken due to my action...
*
this speaker stand is very very heavy on the bottom! very hard to get it topple !
the reason why i put it in the corner is because my son ! he will poke this finger in it if he can reach it ! doh.gif

its better to test it, in fact i think its already rare to hav a z5450 in M'sia so i don think u can test it...

my advise is look for reviews and depends on luck...
last time my luck was bad when getting the z5300(the subs is the same as z5450,so not feeling good on it)...z5300 sound & bass were too bad to me(if i'm rich enough to throw it...i'll not hesitate laugh.gif)

so gd luck

i think Logitech Z5500 is the most "Boomy" pc "Multimmedia Speaker" in the market at the moment...
even the Creative S750 with the Frequency Response of 25Hz ~ 40kHz can do the "Boomy" bass like Z5500...

if Z5500 can't fits ur need then i guess u hv to move on to the next level...

*Edited:
p.s.: did you use digital coax/optical to connect ur pc/dvd player with the Z5500??

PLS FORGET ABOUT CREATIVE S750
IF Z5500's bass can't satisfied ur need then S750 won't do any good.....
S750 is good for music, not for DVD movie..

trust me, pls read the previous page as what i've written that i'll tried both Z5500 & S750 since my dad is using it n i own a Z5500....

justone,
really? perhaps this weekend i cld try dts decode on z5500. perhaps u should increase volume on x-fi or disable some features on x-fi. so far mine sounds nice on x-fi fatality but i have to manage proper volume
