I just got my z5500 couple of weeks ago but i do not face this popping sound as what you all have mentioned. Hopefully this won't happen to my unit *touch wood* tongue.gif

Just to share with you all, my unit is those 'exposed-wire' connectors like those used in hi-fi sets; unlike those hard-soldered RCA-like connectors used in older units 1-2 years ago. I might be using a new revised set by Logitech after all those complaints by user few years back. But how can i verify it? I don't see any revision number stated anywhere on the box or the speakers itself.

Anyone with the same unit like mine can share their side of story here?

Guys, my z5500's control center LCD panel flickers occasionally...also the top left & right edge of the screen is slowly fading out... sad.gif

For eg: From left side, the letter "I" will slowly fade away and then spreads to the next letter "n" and followed by "p" in that order for the word "Input:" over time. Likewise for the right side of the screen. Its like only those parts of the screens are affected. Afraid it might spread even further after prolonged use.

But this does not affect the speakers performance or whatsoever. Just that the flickering and text display fading kinda irritates me.

It'll go away once i shut it down to cool down...sort of. The problem comes back again after 5 mins of usage. vmad.gif

I have mine for less than a year only. Just curious anyone else having the same issue. hmm.gif

Is this issue alone justifiable for RMA since it only affects the LCD? Hmmm...if only i can just swap the control center instead of carrying the whole unit there (Freaking heavy ya know!)

Thanks to kianweic's feedback...i'm enjoying my z5500 with my brand new Xonar D2X. smile.gif

Gaming + Movies are excellent...but not much of improvement in music, probably the 'bottleneck' is the speaker sad.gif
