Hi,
I am back smile.gif

Anyone around KL/Selangor got stock to clear?
I m keeping them with cardinal tetras so which type of shrimps will be better?
Besides that, sometimes i will not be at home for 1week+ because back to hometown. Which is easier to keep?
For those selling, pls state your location and price yah smile.gif

For the sponge thingy, I've only heard of putting crushed lava racks to layer the bottom, make the slope higher and also can save on the ADA soil cause no need to use that much.
*
i dont think putting a sponge thingy will be a good idea.
what if after setting up everything, fish and plants like your tank, then sudd those sponge start to grow bad bacteria?
You need to take out everything and start from zero? cry.gif
I am using crushed lava rock as base layer. Works well until now. Save me lots of ADA.
i could get lava rock for rm6 per kg at Bangi here but lately it is out of stock ><
Last month i check at 88p***mart, they are selling at rm18.50 per peice rclxub.gif

My DIY Co2 damm headache.I doubt have leakage.Always smaller and smaller flow speed.Check with water leakage none.
*
normally DIY co2 can use for around 1-2weeks depending amount of yeast you put as starter

QUOTE(kursk @ Mar 28 2011, 02:53 AM)
always shake the bottle then u will see alots of co2 bubble  biggrin.gif
*
Yes shaking the bottle can produce lots of bubble, then after that you will get even less bubbles than before you shaking it. Untable of co2 will result in lots of algae plus plants not growing well

Time to get a co2 tank !!! whistling.gif

yeah you are right. After shake just last long a while.Sad.Meant i have to spend again to continue?..

This question you have to ask yourself
1. Do you love this hobby since you start planted tank?
2. Do you mind doing all the process DIY CO2 every week?
3. How is your budget?

1 set of co2 tank (4kg) + regulator is around rm250
Let's say u use DIY co2, each week 1 pack sugar + yeast = rm3, 1 year = rm150, 2 years rm300
For co2 tank, starter rm250, refill 2 times within 2years = rm50
When you quit, selling back at rm150 for whole set co2
Do the calculations smile.gif
