QUOTE(axxer @ Jan 31 2011, 03:54 AM) i think damentz had apply bfs patch since 2.6.37, thats why its fast but i cannot use kernel with bfs patch since i already tweak my system with cgroup. now stuck with 2.6.36-3.dmz.2.. too scared to upgrade since last time 2.6.37-0.dmz.3 gave me cgroup error eh really? but i'm using cgroup too.. even before i start using liquorix

i dont really know howto check if bfs patch is enable or not, but last time 2.6.37-0.dmz.3 gave me this error when i open terminal CODE mkdir: cannot create directory `/dev/cgroup/cpu/user/3028': No such file or directory bash: /dev/cgroup/cpu/user/3028/tasks: No such file or directory also login seems to lag alot with that kernel doesnt matter, i'm installing 2.6.37-0.dmz.6 rite now edited: successfully upgraded to 2.6.37-0.dmz.6 with all working fine CODE user@aspire2920-laptop ~ $ uname -a Linux aspire2920-laptop 2.6.37-0.dmz.6-liquorix-686 #1 ZEN SMP PREEMPT Wed Jan 26 08:01:16 UTC 2011 i686 GNU/Linux This post has been edited by axxer: Jan 31 2011, 04:38 AM

QUOTE(scorps @ Jan 30 2011, 02:30 PM) which kernel version that u use? i'm also try using aztech wifi usb with kernel 2.6.32 and it works, but when on kernel 2.6.36 ,it failed maybe my configuration got wrong somewhere The kernel version is 2.6.26 which is pretty old. But of course I can use a 30 feet network cable to connect my Wimax in the kitchen to my masterbed room to get it done but I thought I use another computer with Ubuntu 10.10 to download the firmware and install. Anybody got any idea how to do it? Thanks.

Getting Started

Finally I went out and get a 20m network cable and connect to my Debian PC and manage to install my wifi drivers and it seem to work for now. Sign! What a hassle but it worth it. Now posting with my Debian PC. Is the cable connection better than the wifi. It seem that the speed is faster?
