Unless I am installing back the LMDE's GRUB to make the selection. ayakkk... I hate playing with GRUB

After installed the kernel, ubuntu won't boot, just no disk activity with the bootlogo moving only. Pressed ESC and see the "setting up fstab" in background...nothing else. In the end still using the same "ol'" kernel :/ ...anyone facing these problem before?

Once I'm using 2.6.36 stable or above, it will shows "setting up fstab" during boot, and nothing else, no activities. It would be funny if my fstab settings are corrupted, else the 2.6.35-24 won't boot either, but it can, tho
