Well i must say MBB offers are usually quite ok (if you are willing to dig a bit, alot of offers are not announced).

Their CS is slow (altho I must say the attention from Plat line is much better than the normal line), the 10k treat points they were suppose to transfer from my old card to new card is still missing after nearly a month.

Normal, my TP redemption to offset RM 50 offset has not complete until today since November 20. Very "efficient"!

Minimum Balance : 5% of the Statement Balance or RM50 (whichever is higher)
Statement Balance : Amount owed to the bank after statement date - this column doesn't change to zero ever even you have paid
Outstanding Balance : Amount owed to the bank - will show zero after full payment is made

tat means i need to pay the minimum balance & also statement balance??

You can opt to buy the minimum balance but any outstanding will be incurred for interest after statement due date. It is advisable to clear the statement balance by due date.

For Maybank Visa Petronas Ikhwan Gold CC, there's no annual fee. So NO need to pay anything.

I'm using Ikhwan AMEX Gold CC and there's no annual fee.

I believe that PETRONAS ikhwan Visa gold and ikhwan visa gold should be the same since both of them are issued by Maybank Islamic under Shahriah compliance.

Not much difference. But it gives extra points on fuel usage. Read the details for both cards from below links:

Ikhwan AMEX: http://www.maybank2u.com.my/mbb_info/m2u/p...sonal/CRD-Cards

Ikhwan Visa Petronas: http://www.maybank2u.com.my/mbb_info/m2u/p...sonal/CRD-Cards

i did it myself as to save on RM50 runner fee tongue.gif
i think bank will most unlikely to reject the application unless the applicant record is very very bad & they won't loose a single cent as they have the fd money smile.gif
bank still put the clause "have right to reject" for fd pledge cc just to cover them self

Hi,

Can i check with u regarding the OCBC FD-pledged credit card do we have to commit any FD tenure period in order to get their credit card?

Secondly,if let say the card approved,do we allow to withdraw our FD afterward?

TQ smile.gif

I believe this applies to all FD pledged cc, not only to OCBC only, where the FD is not allowed to be uplifted, so long as the credit card is active.

If the FD tenure is 12 month period, after 12 months, it will auto renew based on the current rate

Therefore, even if the card is approved, you can't withdraw FD. If you want to withdraw FD, you must first clear all your cc outstanding charges and cancel your cc.
