how is the audio and touchscreen of the new model (9370)?

im using the laptop to watch shows, listen music and web browse, which specs is best?

I currently have a Dell XPS 9550, recently the laptop does not shut down completely. When I shut it down, it just restarts. So i gave it a factory reset and everything was fine. However after a windows update, it started again. So i had to force shut down (pressing the button) to completely shut down. After a while, my XPS could turn on but would not boot. The keyboards are powered and lighted up, but the screen is blank. Not even a Dell logo or anything things.

I've googled and it seems like many other users have the same problem. Can anyone give me some inputs? Or had similar problems and how to fix it?

looks like a problem I had today this morning. U can call to dell customer support to troubleshoot ur issue.
My issue was like press the power button, sometimes boot sometimes not, end up with just LED lights up few seconds then goes off.
Diagnosed and was said "montherboard" issue by them, with warranty just over, the fix cost around RM200+ labour and 580+ for parts.

Haizz. Same day I bought another XPS13, just shift the SSD from old xps to new xps and reinstall all drivers and re install windows keep all my files and settings. So yeah, within few hours, I am ready to work on new body with same soul. What a costly day...

Thanks for your input! Yeah it was indeed the motherboard issue, and i have told Dell CS after doing some research. Luckily I have checked again my warranty and it shows that my system has ProSupport. Previously Dell said I had no warranty left, but apparently it was false. So Dell technician came the next day with the part and fixed it the same day!

Anyone use xps 15 to do coding on web/Android/iOS? How is the user experience

I'm interested to get the xps 13 9360 or 9370 in rose gold. Mainly for CAD work, photoshop & the occasional 3D rendering for interior architectural work. Is it worth it to get the latest model?


Previously using XPS15z for 5 years and its about time for a new one. Currently has a black hole on the screen from me smashing my screen down when i had a pen on my keypad Plus the weight is overwhelming since I'm usually mobile.


Also, any recommendations on where to get it? Preferably retailers with 0% installment with cimb.

For XPS 15 9570, is undervolting and repasting thermal almost a must do when we early got it?

Seen forums and YouTube people been talking about this to fix the thermal throttling.. Why isn't this fixed by Dell?

Also the WiFi card, Killer 1535 is so bad people ditch em for an Intel instead.

I just find it weird a company such as Dell could let this happen despite users' common complain.

I understand XPS 15 isnt a gaming laptop, so these people complain because they expected XPS 15 to be doing more than what it was designed to do?

I plan to get one to use for work + leisure, and portability is one of my criteria coz I carry it in and out daily. I hope this is a good buy (despite having to resort to the above solutions to get the best out of this laptop).

UV can do in day1, repaste depend... if you feel UV still not enough then repaste can push more depand on what paste you using..., extreme tpye can choose liquid metal...

For WiFi 1535, i feel still OK, for normal youtube + webbrowsing not having lag, if you like can purchase intel 9260 from Taobao, quite cheap..

XPS is very good laptop, just because its dont had major issue, so ppl is looking on those minor...

XPS is NOT gaming laptop, but i can play Dota 2, Shadow of War, witcher 3 with just lower the setiing only....

XPS is compare to Macbook Pro!! Not GS65, Aero 15, i feel its best fit my daily need with its weight and power inside.

Maybe you can wait 11xx series GPU, but for 1150 + XPS may need wait until next year...

hi all, any xps 15 9570 user here ? i am interested to buy a XPS 15 9570 (i5-8300H), mainly because of its beautiful screen, is the thermal throttling really serious or it only affect when you gaming ? i just want to use this laptop for photo editing(photoshop and lightroom), internet browsing and video streaming, will this laptop work fine for me ?

Just getting myself XPS 13 9370 model with i7 and 512GB storage.
I looking for dongle like MacBook type unfortunate, I can’t find any in the market.
Kinda miss my MacBook 12” where as I hv to duct my MacBooks due to under power.
Going to miss their track pad and one hand open

So far there is not trackpad better than mac but XPS keyboard feel better key stock than new MacBook

I hv this usb c hub but I looking for usb hub without need cable..
direct attach to laptop body..
I still prefer Mac but with xps 13 I pay much lesser after with employee discount
