QUOTE(shirley_andy @ Nov 27 2011, 08:15 PM) I think what he meant is pass ACCA Oh right. So passing ACCA kind of makes university grades less important. Anyway, has the peak started for audit yet? Can anyone share the kind of roles which an intern does within the audit department? Thanks!

But due to clients with year ends falling not just on 31 December, it can get pretty busy. Even for the past two months my colleagues have been working as late as 4 a.m. And yes, if you passed ACCA, your grades doesn't matter as much

Usually, the common practice is either a bond, or you refund what they paid in the last 6 months if you resign. Different firms have different policies on this so if you want specifics, check with the specific firm's HR to confirm. Simple things that need minimum supervision with minimal risk of error lol This post has been edited by CKJMark: Nov 29 2011, 09:25 AM

If I join a small tax firm and work there for let's say 3 months, will Big 4 considers it as an experience? Cos I am afraid if the tax firm is too small, then they won't consider it as an experience as they are gap in office procedures (eg small firms are more informal).

Maybe could gain some experience here and work in Sg...or just straight to Sg Big4 so if you're a fresh grad, would u go choose big4 in MY or Med Firm in SG? I mean which provide better exposure(learning opportunity)? cuz big4 deal with bigger multinationals.. and altho it might seem nice to work abroad at SG, but it's just a med firm, it might not provide the exposure u'll get by working with big4... no?
