Has anyone noticed that their cap also now applies to LOCAL connections?

My TM Speedometer is returning 500 kbps now...

Maybe because everyone is calling support to complain about the international speed and they are telling everyone to test with local speedometer speed. The speedometer server is tired and cannot cope...

Thanks for the immature response but the troll section is located in another part of the forum rolleyes.gif
Yes genius, thanks for stating the obvious and expecting me to go to TMpoint located <1km down the road and asking them myself, I intentionally subscribed to the 1mbps package and kept my mouth shut. Now read the quote again and TRY to understand, I'm not forcing you to answer rolleyes.gif

Send email to them or calling their customer support = wasting your time. I called them everyday, but the problem still exists.

"Yea I know that much, what I don't is if what they say is true (My area doesn't support 4mb) or if there are fibre optics in the infrastructure as the website isn't as updated as some branches (read a few threads saying tmpoint/agents saying no Unifi but with further investigation Unifi is available)

Go to TM-Point & check for availability or phone TM Unifi Centre 1300-88-1222 like what mylinear has suggested

If all the response are no, then it probably hasn't available in your area yet.

Hey man TM is trolling you and saying theres no 4Mbps. It's ok I got troll too when I decided to up my package to 4Mbps this year seeing as my neighbour behind my house got it, I thought "jiran aku ada, takkan aku takdaaaa" then I kena troll at TMpoint laugh.gif

If they say your area is not supported, then you can either:

i. Give up and move on with your live.
ii. Contact a reseller at lowyat forum and ask them to do inside job.

But why would you want to up your package? You got cabel inside to uncap is it nod.gif ?? Better you wait for unifail and get unifail biz where it's not cap, PERIOD.

QUOTE(cybpsych @ Dec 2 2010, 09:46 PM)
if you notice the page title (on the tab or titlebar) ...

1) First load of the page is somehow locked to a certain number (forgotten if it is IP or session ID, or something else). Speedtest is almost as per package speed.

2) Once 1st run of speedtest finish, RERUN again. it will slow down tremendously and does not show the "full speed" from the 1st run.

3) REFRESH the speedtest ™ page, and you'll get another number on the tab/titlebar. Speedtest returns to "normal".
the cycle continues.
p/s: If you are on-hold while talking to the Customer Service, he/she mention that they are "monitoring" our speedtest testing.

I have a feeling that TM's speedtest is RIGGED to give you FALSE connection speed and ROUTED/TAPPED for their monitoring. vmad.gif  mad.gif

On a few occasions with their speedometer, especially on the upload test, it is showing nearly 500kbps upload, but when I check the network monitor widget, there is NOTHING HAPPENING AT ALL on upload.

But the speedometer is moving as if it's actually testing.

Download will also show a fantastic speed, but the network monitor widget shows an unstable speed which is below that the speedometer is showing.

I would like to think that it is a bug, but you can never be sure with these people.... and how many people would like to bet that TM would say the widget is faulty, right? Reminds me of what happened with Maxis and the iPhone data counter... wink.gif

Firstly, I'm glad you're so bothered with what I do with my money, and secondly, if there was 4mbps a few km down the same damn road and I still "don't have coverage" wouldn't you think there was something wrong? YES they're trollin that's the whole point to my question, honestly did you even read it? Give up and move on with my life? Please la it's god damn internet who doesn't use it, and I am a frequent downloader so I know what I want. And about those sarcastic responses, I can delve further than you trust me. AGAIN in my question, I asked about Unifi as well, and yes I am considering it when it comes or if it's already here (Old Klang Road) PERIOD. . ....... . . . .
