how did you do it?

i downloaded the FB app from market, sign in and sync.

the FB account appear in Account&Sync but still FB profile didnt appear in my contacts..

Alright guys, let the lesson begin...

1. Make sure you have facebook 1.5 download and install
2. when you login to facebook, it will ask you sync all or sycn with exisiting contact or don't sync, for me i chose sync all
3. All of the facebook contact will embedded into your existing contact, and it will look kinda messy
4. open your contact, choose the contact with phone number, press menu-choose edit contact, press menu again-choose join. then you can select your facebook contact and join. VOLA!!!

but you still need to clean out the rest of facebook contact by deletion.

For pics you can use syncmypix. Email I'm not sure..

so it is ok if couldnt sync email

after finish sync, then update to cloud too Google Sync
Tips: try save your phone contact person name same as FB name if can.

cause they keep changing their FB name and sometimes to the name that does make any sense

No worries. With that app you can later view the results and correct the pics manually.

agree with you. hhaha.. I got some friend also always like to change their fb name, headache.
for this case, have to manual link the fb to ur contact phone. coz the app just match with name n sync.
if you have 2 friend using exactly same name, picture might sync wrongly, double check...

if you said kali and defer, i believe you. if mad murdock, he's not full time dev like kali and defer and he's not in cyanogenmod team. i can say he is fanatic. but he has good point.

yeah he's not, but he's learning a lot from kali- last night. he made a patch last night too. quite awesome i think, kali- guided him and he sure knows what he is talking.

Sense or NonSense....I've been using LeeDroid 2.3c since I got my phone on 30 Dec last year. A week later, I tried Oxygen GB for 3 hours & later downgrade to Oxygen Froyo 1.04 for a day. I turn back to LeeDroid upgraded to 2.3d.

AOSP is definately blazing fast, but alot of incompatility. Camera not working in GB version & GPS not working in Froyo version. I really like to continue to use Oxygen Froyo, only thing I feel is the driver incompatibility issue. Also, noted the screen is not as crisp as Sense base ROM.

Well, all this are personal opinion. So, no harm trying other ROM. Just wait for GB version to come to Desire with full driver compatibility, I will switch to AOSP.

Is current Gingerbread ROM stable for desire, currently using SenseHD Rom, once a while will hang, i think need to change to another ROM like AOSP base ROM and c what's the diff.

do sense have GB yet?
AOSP = android open source project.
aosp built from scratch base on google GB code. to compare with big name like HTC, Samsung, and bla bla to release GB, do we get update until now? answer is NO. but thanks to some dev, who have time to work on rom so we all can taste GB before OFFICIAL release from bla bla manufacturer.

do not judge AOSP as oxygen alone. AOSP only a name and many rom base on AOSP.
as I also using oxygen, on which oxygen release do not have GPS not working? I never fail to lock on GPS for all rom that I try.

actually CM team already release working camcorder on CM7. and most of dev out there already update their rom so it can use camcoder and camera. so far, i never got problem with CM7 regarding all gps camera,camcorder etc.

plus, cm7 already have patch on a2sd+, so i can use like normal CM6 and other rom for my daily driver.

tell me which one of the oxygen version doesnt have the GPS working in froyo? of course camera not working on GB, the OTA updates for nexus arent released yet, so thats not one of the "incompatibility", its just cuz no goddamn driver. Dont like living in the edges or dont like having incomplete stuff, stay away from GB. Screen not as crisp? wtf with that~~

go and try cyanogenmod. that way you'll know how great an AOSP rom can be, better than a sense, in any way!

Added on January 12, 2011, 4:18 pmit is stable, but lack of some driver until updates coming to nexus. Google said a few weeks. Dont know how long is that.

dear all taiko, Using a SLCD desire on Stock Froyo
would like to root my desire for the 1st time, just I was abit confuse which guide should I follow on the 1st page, does any of the guides there got outdated and not applicable? mayb some 1 can point 1 updated and safe guide to newbie like me?

been reading that you all debating about sense and no-sense, leedroid ,oxygen and AOSP etc search through the net know their classification but not aware of their difference and the basic concept.
which actually further confuse me which rom to pick etc... but will give a good read tonight and see what I can do.

choosing a rom doesnt need reading. try it!

i dont have SLCD so i dont read much on it, so i dont read the updates much. but with unrevoked, you cant go wrong.

once you root, try each rom, rather than asking for suggestions.
