QUOTE(tyja @ Dec 5 2010, 12:51 PM) Added on December 5, 2010, 12:52 pm bro, give up on CM? CM is still the best in terms of speed and i dont like using A2SD+ too, but i really miss the htc dialer. The best dialer ever makes me come back to sense since i cant get used to other dialer no matter how much i tried. |

QUOTE(tyja @ Dec 15 2010, 02:09 PM) yes, the fastest ever. but i think it is lack of auto brightness configuration. well CM has been developed for a long time so should have most features. i love their features but got some bugs/FC made me staying away from it. they have most themes created for them so thats the good part.CM got auto brightness vs light luminance. this is important for me. Just wait, adam is good. Trust me. He listens to every person. thats why i love his rom since OD. improves cuz of people, not for himself. |

QUOTE(jonjon87 @ Dec 31 2010, 09:52 AM) just flashed to oxygen using clockwork. I realise i do not have google maps. Therefore was thinking of wiping again and reflash. But i can no longer boot into recovery. uurgh lol it was normal there was no gmaps in there for oxygen. it got removed by adam is recent updates. just download it from market...its a small problem why you want to wipe~~If i wanna flash amon ra, how should i do it? I tried the terminal method but it says cant find image file. how to use unrevoked again? |

QUOTE(jonjon87 @ Dec 31 2010, 11:10 AM) DIdn't know that lol, but i cant seem to download it. Even as i use the Google apps installer in Settings, as i try to get maps, it says the requested item could not be found u need to fake provider by using the market enabler cuz maps are not in free market. its free but its in the paid market.QUOTE(calmshot @ Dec 31 2010, 11:16 AM) guys, for thos who are using oxygen rc4... better try gingervillain v0.5... lotsa smooother and stable than oxygen rc4... and for those already change hboot to oxygen table, u have to change to n1 table if u want to install gingervillain because it have to use more space in /system.... so far im very satisfied with gingervillain becoz of the smooth scrolling on the homescreen compare to rc4 i'm staying with adam. it has the best speed for me. i never use any richard's rom. Defrost(he only imitates adam's work), for ginger villain, i can see the pattern too). But he is a good dev, he develops kernels and stuffs but adam is my favourite. |

I love Nexus, Evo and Incredible though. Not only so many roms, but themes, mods and customizations are limitless.
Most of them especially Nexus themers are asked by Desire owners to port their stuffs. I wish they are more designers for Desire. |

I would get Desire HD since its more elegant. the design is cool. but you'll miss one thing, on DHD, you cant find decent AOSP roms like you will on Desire or Nexus. so you'll stuck with sense all the way. unless you are a regular phone user, just buy and use it like normal people did - no root, no extra customizations, no extra tweaks. so if u are that kind of poeple, get HD. if you are hacker/modder minded like most of us, get Desire, cuz DHD aint too much difference. i would wait for a newer and much improved phone over that.

QUOTE(ksh9394 @ Dec 31 2010, 02:55 PM) i dont know but i think its not necessary. unless poll just wanted to know. if using poll cuz you cant decide which one to use, then no point since you'll eventually try them all as time goes by. once you flash a custom rom, you never stop flashing and you will become excited when a new version is out even you did not use that rom.QUOTE(xproc @ Dec 31 2010, 03:46 PM) i going to switch to leedroid... should i update to 2.3c? Everything as klemann said. and remember, nandroid first. it never hurts. radio will stay even you flash a new rom for hundreds of times.Added on December 31, 2010, 3:53 pmSo i need 1. wipe data/factory reset 2. wipe cache partition? do i need to do this? 3. then only install zip from SD card ( leedroid 2.3b) 4. do i need update my radio again after factory reset... my previous radio is 32.49.00.32U_5.11.05.27 QUOTE(WhiteWing @ Dec 31 2010, 05:57 PM) The design is really cool. When I play with the unit, this unit was too big for my pocket so I still don't know how. I don't really go modify the rom and others.. Just use a normal application will de and I think Desire might suitable enough for me. Applications should be the same for both since they are running android. but currently devs are more into Desire. dont know bout the future but now the DHD dev are still small. if you are not into modifying things, then go for DHD. its the latest and you got nothing to lose. if you are using Desire and use it normally, kinda wasted cuz Desire has lot more to offer.. hahaha...root + s-off + custom roms = Epic! |

QUOTE(chaos415 @ Dec 31 2010, 06:34 PM) I am inclined to have to agree with LuffyPSP. Most here, me included, are as he said, Serial Flashers and cant wait to try new ROMs. So we switch ROMs quite fast. Some of us have our preferred ROM that we fall back to but cant really do a poll on that as it would be inaccurate. Yep absolutely. I'm sticking with Oxygen but i still flash other roms to try it out, or maybe sticking for about a week after getting interested with other roms. its normal. People who flash custom roms are all the same.Anyway, Happy New Year, guys. May the New Year bring more ROMs to flash... |

QUOTE(magnumrolez @ Dec 31 2010, 09:27 PM) i just got the phone 2day, i wonder why the internal memory only have max 230mb available without anything running ... i tot it has 576mb available? can any1 explain? i'm really confuse ... the rest is for the system so thats why. you cant change that unless you flash a custom hboot partition.QUOTE(rattan @ Dec 31 2010, 09:32 PM) Benefit? bigger space! and faster if you use Oxygen Hboot, but it is especially for oxygen. |

for rooting and flashing roms, no need to be scared. so if you root to install custom roms, its ok already.
The risky part is; Flashing radio, S-off, flashing custom hboot. You should be good if you follow the steps obidently cuz if you are not, brick! i screw up rooting many times and my phones are still ok. and btw, after s-off, you can flash radio through fastboot which is the safest. so once you s-off, every risk go away... |
