tyja was right. if you come from different rom, not advisable to restore app+data. suggest restore only app.
For me, my calendar already sync with google calendar, so I have no issue on each time flash. about sms i manually use the "SMS Backup & Restore" from market. basically it create a xml file. or any sms backup app also can....

is anyone know any free app that can set default software control for our phone?
meant we use to set which is my default browser, default music play, etc...
I found 1 but not free... if free app available will be useful for us like to install multiple browser , multiple player

haiya, I forgot to tell where am I come from. sorry all..
I'm using MIUI. 1 of the example is: by default there is lockscreen music playback support. but it can be any music player.
But I'm unable to control which music player to assign. It's just grab any music player in service/background.

program manager in setting, default button wont work on that...
the paid app are autostarts.
I know some manual work will settle it, but if there is any free app to grab will be better in easy manage and easy view.

1. if you know linux stuff, rooting is like grand you to have superuser access right. without this, some rooted required app unable to run.
2. not sure malaysia market able to get paid app ready or not, else please use "market access"/"market enabler"...
3. if your ROM using support A2SD and with app support A2SD, then yes. coz not 100% app from market are A2SD support. else usually manual move it...

let's compare from stock rom but not any android custom rom or jailbreak.
Similarities: both are design to put your app in idle mode when you want to run other app. as we can see most of simple app in this way.
Different: iOS only allow, certain audio/video app running in background but not all apps able to do so. But Android are not. As long as your app design in server-client method, the app are allow to continue running in background as service while you open other app.

In conclusion, aPxle suck, Stxve Jxbs are control freak while talking about restriction or their rules, he gays, always give lame excuse, what security purpose la, better battery life la, performance la, bla bla....

if you can leave the htc sense. may try MIUI. I'm using it, simple and fast. there is also other non-sense room also good, but I haven't try.
between speed and battery life, you control it by using SetCPU. set your own priority and governance rules.

yes, this is the point. move back to internal memory if the actual in sdcard.
second thing u can try to clear data/cache on your widget if you're ok.

get Quick System Info from market to check ur a2sd.
ext 2,3,4 is diff version of partition. ext.4 are faster but might shorten ur sd card life, according from xda forumer. further more, not all rom support ext.4. So ext.3 are most common use.

if performance not so required, but you need more battery life. you may flash other kernels like this instead of default MIUI kernel. Second, using SetCPU with ur own governance profile to maximum the battery life. example: when screen off, cpu speed set to lowest.
