I have ordered RB750G from ItsBit Singapore and it will be shipped tomorrow via EMS. Total cost is US$85.02 paid via PayPal. Should receive it on the day the UniFi is up. I have having problem figuring out how to config the RB750G since I am using MAC unless I can config through VMWare.

yes, i did Wireshark capture data few rounds for their engineer, they mentioned that it manage to obtain IP from the IPTV server but somehow channels cannot be loaded like the DIR-615
there seem to be a particular IGMP v3 request (and responded by STB) right before the channels, such data somehow seem to be disappeared from 841ND

i'm not sure what's wrong, it might not be the chip/driver issue since 841ND is running on AR71xx, same chip as RB750

i believe the 841ND should have telnet/ssh since it's linux base OS
can you help to trouble-shoot?

I just check with my local agent to set up unifi at my apartment, according to him, the optic cable will just be installed till level 5 of the building and i live in level 7. So he told me that after level 5, they will change to copper cable. I ask if this will affect the performance, and he say just a little.

I wish to now for those who install unifi on high rise building, do you know this and does the performance really affected and by how much?

I'm planning to upgrade to UNIFI for my office.Currently I'm paying RM45(talian telefon) + RM130 (streamyx).Since the Biz 5 was only RM199  my question is do i still need to pay the talian telefon RM45??

Thank you for the info, so if they change to copper cable after level 5, does this affect the download speed? I use this mostly for gaming, so will this be affected?

my piece of advice...you know what? it is faster to apply unifi via online. I applied on 3 Jan 2011, and the technician called me for installation on 10 Jan 2011. Damn fast...hehe...maybe my area (OUG) is newly lauched, not much people using...keke..i'll be the first guinea pig.

Nearly misled by a saleman in the unifi booth set around my area, told me not to apply via online because normally will not be served or noticed..said if i apply with them, will try to have installation on 22 Jan 2010...haha...come on..i got free one month fee via online and faster installation date.

I live in apartment and while after installation, going into google and gmail is fine, after a while now, i cant seem to get into gmail or google.

Don't worry, I have the same problem as you. I am sure my area got Unifi already (I called their number), but when I tried to apply online (to qualify for the 1 month subscription free), they say that my area is not covered!

So what I did today is to call their number up (1800-88-1222, wait 10 minutes for their operators to be free), and mention that you are trying to apply online. They transfered me to their technical team I think, they helped me to apply, and I still get the 1 month subscription free, as if I apply online! 

I hope they will keep their word, in my first bill should deduct off my first month bill...
