got a problem, feeling lost here....
after finish my final exam, within a month, i accepted an offer and come to this company in singapore. Now more than 2 months ald, i feel that i dun really like this job , and oso feel like really wanna have a rest, coz i didnt really plan to start working so early after i graduate, wanted to go holiday... plus the working environment in singapore , -,-' u knw , 3w = work , work n work. now feel like wanna change job or resign , and at the mean time , i can have a rest. so , in the future , will this will gv a bad impression to other company? how bout the permit the company applied for me, will i be penalised or blacklisted by the MOM? in the offer letter, they just mention within probation period , i nid to gv 2 weeks notice.... |

QUOTE(rickysim84 @ Jan 12 2011, 11:54 PM) also, ur next company will ask u why u resign within few months. It is best not to resign tat early as it will consider as job hop. if i dun mention it in the resume , or i tell them the truth i dun like the previous job ?doesnt it make sense for people to quit the job asap , as it may waste my time but oso the company time, trained me one year but i stil quit for other job |

well, u can tell them tat u dun like the previous job, but they will ask u, how sure are u toward this new job? We are foreigner in Singapore and we require work permit to work, the HR can just track ur work permit to know some info bout you.
Also, MOM will track ur record, and MOM might reject ur work permit application due to the previous record. |

QUOTE(kl87 @ Jan 12 2011, 09:06 PM) U reminded me how I was 4 years ago. Everyday think of quit, especially if you work bloody long hour.Don't worry about MOM. It is not abnormal to change job within 2-3 months, that's the reason why u have probation. As I know company don't have to pay money for your resignation, they only pay your monthly levy during your employment period. Your real worry should be how to find a suitable job. Depending on the industry you might have the same working culture. Beware that once you don't have any legal permit, you are not allow to rent a room and can only remain in Singapore 1 (social visit pass aka white card) or 2 months (extended social visit pass) after your permit is cancelled. Also find out some good answer when your future company ask why you want to leave at such short period. Even if you say "I don't like the enviroment" "I don't like the management style" your interviewer will definitely ask "what is the thing that you don't like?". |
