QUOTE(RahXeph0n @ Nov 18 2010, 12:53 AM) What's with the craze on retractable mirrors? Are they of ANY use at all? lol. Just another mechanical component waiting to fail to me. What I'd like to know is, are the mirrors electronically heated? Forte's is if I'm not wrong. Now that's actually useful on a cold rainy day. btw, i did realize that it seems everything that's electrical seems to be only waiting to fail to you..hahah...anyway, it beats having to adjust everything manually.. yes forte's are heated, inspira's no... so u don't have to worry about it failing Wow. 14 minutes... count me impressed ( = This post has been edited by keagan: Nov 18 2010, 02:44 AM |

Finally test drive Inspira 1.8 auto today.. Went to the authorise dealer in Serdang... it was not a experience to be remembered... KENA ROADBLOCK by police... I duno what stupid dumbass the police mentioned, said that it is a public holiday and shouldn't allow to test drive car, because the car does not have a proper car plate... Kesian the SA offer him RM300
Okay, about the drive pulak.. I think this SA quite blur 1.. not sure whether she's new or not. When I 1st drove the car, the engine sound was so loud and I asked her, is this car that LOUD? Can the gear be shift? She said yea, the sound is like that 1... just put "D" can already..... After driving for a while, annoyed with the sound, I noticed the +,- sign on the gear... I then tried to push it up.. CAN SHIFT LA i tell her And also asked her about the difference of 1st batch and 2nd batch. She said no difference... all same 1... hmm that's why I think it's great that we have a place here in the forum where we can gather valuable information before going to buy the car. If merely depends information from SA then really This post has been edited by DaBestOne: Nov 18 2010, 05:28 AM |

QUOTE(Pogostik @ Nov 18 2010, 01:41 AM) Might not be too useful but then it can be said for other things as well. Btw. I find that electric retractable mirrors are quite useful when I parked my car in a tight space or gave way for oncoming vehicle on a very narrow road. QUOTE(keagan @ Nov 18 2010, 02:39 AM) its' not a craze, its convinient when you have to squeeze through tight lanes ...its useful if you ask me as i've no patience to wait I have never in my life needed to adjust my mirrors to squeeze through lanes. Neither have I parked in a space so tight where the clearance for my mirrors was important enough... since if it was that close, you couldn't open the doors anyway.QUOTE(keagan @ Nov 18 2010, 02:41 AM) btw, i did realize that it seems everything that's electrical seems to be only waiting to fail to you..hahah...anyway, it beats having to adjust everything manually.. yes forte's are heated, inspira's no... so u don't have to worry about it failing Haha, no la... if it's useful, like central locking, power windows etc, remote boot open, then it's cool. But so many people asking for this "retractable mirrors" feature, which I feel is purely cosmetic, costly, and being mechanical in nature; bound to fail. That's just quite strange to me ( = Anyway... its cool of course. But there are more useful things to ask for haha IMO. |

It's something nice to have but not necessary. I would rather have a car that drives well, comfortable, good reliability and safety protection for the passengers over those can do without accessories like push start button & folding side mirrors.
