if i want luxury i will opt for mercedes or bmw....but i want a proton a car that i can feel.....a car that is fun to drive even after 10 years
*
well, for me it is to have a good and reliable car..i couldnt be bothered about the plastics, not that we'll be eating the door panels. as long as it is reliable and good, esp dont have to pay 30k tax to get a 1.8 car.

There is a security guard as you enter  the gated compound E, the covered reception area where you park before being attended to. Same place to collect car after ready serviced . No prior appointment the guard would ask you to go somewhere else.
Another set of guards at the main entrance beforehand, of course.

Always make the early morning appointments. They all break during lunchtime even if they are in the midst of doing your car.

u guys should start making noise from now okay. don't wait until last min and then they deliver your cars late (next year).
which is will void the t&c on free 2 years maintenance.

pressure them to give free maintenance for this year booking (maybe until end of November booking) and not depending on when your car will be delivered.

just my opinion.
*
yeah.. already pressure my SA last week.. i said if i cant get the 2 years free maintenance. i want cancel my booking.. haha he said he'll try his best.. rclxms.gif

Does anyone have a list of things that we can or cannot do to the car while its still under warranty? I find too many little things like, changing the rims and HU may void the warranty?? Is it true? If I add my own custom alarm system will that be ok? So the question and situation is endless. Hope someone can clarify for me.

I asked my SA that if I do my own automatic central locking will that void, he just said "if simple wiring stuff oklah," So is that ok or not. Too subjective. rclxub.gif

As you said, it's subjective.

It's easier to go through an authorized service center than PE 3S center, than COE.
In most cases, it's between you and the service manager.

Hating the rims design, i called proton i.care @ 1-300-880-888 early November. i inquired to change the stock 6.5" rims to a wider one at 7", retaining the same 16" diameter though.

The lady on the phone checked with her boss and i am told the warranty will be void when i do that small change. blink.gif

I had ask my SA about those void things... Rim can be change, tayar can be change, Tinting can be done. Btw, no add on like intake manifold or air intake and such that increase or decrease the horsepower of the car.

For your info, if your original tayar puncture, u gona fix yourself. If your rim crack dented, no waranty. tHEY ONLY GIVE WARANTY FOR THE DEFECT OF THE RIMS.. That all. icon_idea.gif

It can be very different to any car in whatsoever way. I could make an educated guess that most of us 34 people in the page-1 list wants an Inspira and not be all too concerned if it dissimilar or similar to any Lancer, parts-wise or features-wise.
*
its so true. dun feel like making my inspira into lancer, unless had to. i'm interested to change my spare into those compact one and then perhaps takeout those plastic height-adjustment thingy out to make my rear bonnet much more spacious. anybody know if its possible? compact spare tyre available? icon_question.gif

Kuala Lumpur, 15 November 2010 – Mitsubishi Motors Corporation (MMC) Japan has collaborated with Proton Holdings Berhad (Proton) for many years and most recently, the technical support provided to Proton for the development of the new Inspira.

Mitsubishi Motors Malaysia wishes to state that other than the Lancer, no other Mitsubishi models currently distributed by Mitsubishi Motors Malaysia (MMM), including its recently launched vehicles – the all-new Lancer Sportback (October) and the ASX compact crossover (November) will be based on this technical collaboration in the future.

While the Inspira is modeled after the Mitsubishi Lancer, it differs in a number of ways – with both having its own unique traits, allowing each respective vehicle to differentiate itself in the marketplace. Each brand also caters to a different group of customer segments with a different set of driving desires and expectations.

Exported to Malaysia and distributed by MMM, the Lancer is a Completely Built-Up Unit (CBU) – in which all parts and assembly standards have met Mitsubishi Motors' stringent global quality standards.

In addition to being fully manufactured by MMC in Japan, the Mitsubishi Lancer is also designed and produced to meet the highest European (high-speed driving performance and handling), American (safety) and Japanese (vehicle built) quality standards.

The Inspira, on the other hand, is assembled at Proton’s facility in Shah Alam and will contain 40% local parts within the year.

Exclusively for Lancer owners, MMM offers a five year warranty programme in addition to a complimentary two year maintenance programme on all parts and labour.

MMM’s extensive sales and service network includes 54 service centres and 41 sales outlets nationwide – out of which 15 are 3S (Sales, Service and Spare parts) centres. MMM intends to increase its sales network to 45 by March 2011 with 27 3S centres.

On top of that, Lancer owners enjoy the assurances that come with purchasing a vehicle renowned for its 90 year brand heritage. Mitsubishi is also one of the leading global automakers in the world and has a long successful history in motorsports.

Through MMM, MMC continues to strengthen its presence in Malaysia. Mitsubishi is now one of the top four brands within the non-national car segment in Malaysia.

For more information, please visit your nearest Mitsubishi Motors showroom, or log on to www.mitsubishi-motors.com.my or call Customer Care Line at 03-7622 2202.
