QUOTE(rewlie @ Nov 16 2010, 11:13 PM) Now you prove you are butthurt, I am not the one have problem here, you are by labeling such thing, no such thing as butthurt inspira owner or butthurt lancer owner, it's their money, their choice, whatever the outcomes later, be it good or bad on either inspira or lancer, they are the one responsible for it, grow up dude, get a life. Thanks for staying level headed. You have my respect. But can everyone stop this "butthurt" word? LOL. Can't you say dissapointed, or sad, or angry or furious peeved or livid or whatever else you can think of. "butthurt" implies one gets raped from behind, and even if you don't mean to degrade anyone, by using the word, you already did.Cant agreed more. Anyway, I think it would be cool if someone could compare the 2.0 Inspira to the 2.0 Sylphy. The Sylphy's CVT is really really excellent. I feel nothing of the "rubber band" effect some people relate to CVTs. Engage the sport mode, and it can really run! Tap the accelerator and it responds almost immediately. BTW, there's a possibility my manual can arrive next week |

QUOTE(Taipan052 @ Nov 17 2010, 12:53 AM) they are stupid or what? usually u have the upper hand. They are not stupid. I have confirmed with 2 other people dealing with cars. The bank pays out a fixed 600 comission for any loan taken. Basically, the first year interest goes to the SA. This is extra comission over what they get from proton, so... It makes a lot of sense. My only argument is my purchase is a confirmed purchase, while others may not get approved, but that's not valid since there's a waiting list a few months long for the Inspira LOL.just threat them that you're gonna buying other car if cannot pay cash. |

QUOTE(keagan @ Nov 18 2010, 12:12 AM) anyone knows if it has motorized retract for the side mirrors? i went to see the 1.8E today but can't find the button What's with the craze on retractable mirrors? Are they of ANY use at all? lol. Just another mechanical component waiting to fail to me. What I'd like to know is, are the mirrors electronically heated? Forte's is if I'm not wrong. Now that's actually useful on a cold rainy day.QUOTE(rewlie @ Nov 18 2010, 12:25 AM) What are they trying to say, both has it's own character, we wont know unless one of you do the hardcore test drive later on that will reveal the car true capability, body roll, grip, handling, braking, oversteer or understeer, pickup, perhaps Genting? I managed to clock 14 minutes from exit of Genting Sepah highway up to Genting Theme Park hotel, test drive conducted like a rally style with co-driver beside me to direct on navigation, i just pedal and drive only, this is on stock standard Lancer, so would like to know your guys record soon. Wow. 14 minutes... count me impressed ( = |

QUOTE(Pogostik @ Nov 18 2010, 01:41 AM) Might not be too useful but then it can be said for other things as well. Btw. I find that electric retractable mirrors are quite useful when I parked my car in a tight space or gave way for oncoming vehicle on a very narrow road. QUOTE(keagan @ Nov 18 2010, 02:39 AM) its' not a craze, its convinient when you have to squeeze through tight lanes ...its useful if you ask me as i've no patience to wait I have never in my life needed to adjust my mirrors to squeeze through lanes. Neither have I parked in a space so tight where the clearance for my mirrors was important enough... since if it was that close, you couldn't open the doors anyway.QUOTE(keagan @ Nov 18 2010, 02:41 AM) btw, i did realize that it seems everything that's electrical seems to be only waiting to fail to you..hahah...anyway, it beats having to adjust everything manually.. yes forte's are heated, inspira's no... so u don't have to worry about it failing Haha, no la... if it's useful, like central locking, power windows etc, remote boot open, then it's cool. But so many people asking for this "retractable mirrors" feature, which I feel is purely cosmetic, costly, and being mechanical in nature; bound to fail. That's just quite strange to me ( = Anyway... its cool of course. But there are more useful things to ask for haha IMO. |

QUOTE(rewlie @ Nov 22 2010, 09:36 PM) To be frank, you sounded like a fanboy / fangirl already, first hand resolution is a must on any technical support job, why need to waste customer's time when can resolve it onsite, on that time? In real life, when your car breakdown, you call a mechanic, mechanic for sure run up first hand resolution, if cannot solve, then only tow to garage, what say you if your car breakdown, mechanic come and tow it straight away? Of course you will be really piss off! Dont even check but straight away tow? Unless it is something else. Agreed. I'd be pissed. Good thing they ahd the Perdana to smother some of the flames. |

I'm pissed. I'm really really pissed. First they say they don't want to accept cash, so I nego with bank for loan, now today they call me and say, my black manual taken by someone else (few units were delivered to glenmarie aparently) so.. ask me to change colour. I ask them to go ahead, I don't mind a red or white, then now say no more car. I AM PISSED. Luckily I havent signed with the bank yet.
Some people should be getting their car within the week or by next week though. What happened to the booking list? I booked on the second day, how could they give my car away? It's not even my fault. The dealer is the one giving problems >.< |

QUOTE(SothysSaleShop @ Nov 24 2010, 09:56 PM) Can you do us a favor? Can you do for us a detailed picture comparison as we dont have a lancer to compare and also dont have an inspira at the moment to do so. Hope you can show us how the dashboard was fitted wrongly & exposed metals in the trunk in your opinion. Thanks in advance That would be seriously cool. |

QUOTE(SothysSaleShop @ Nov 25 2010, 09:27 PM) What's the reason given for not releasing the cars? No wonder my SA told me to take the showroom car, so there is a story behind it, what about 1.8 models? I don't know what's the reason. I hope it's because they are fixing stuff. Like maybe the tweeters LOL (dreaming). I booked 1.8 manual, SA said cars were delviered to glenmarie, but not going to release, though some branches have already "booked" those units for delivery. |

QUOTE(darkangel7 @ Nov 25 2010, 11:06 PM) that's what I meant when I said .. I think the metal and PU have difference refraction qualities hence the slight difference in colors.. Assuming the paint coat has been applied to sufficient depth, it shouldnt affect I guess, but who knows. I once tried to spray paint a biscuit tin red, and... After burning through 3 cans of spray paint, I could still see the printing beneath the paint, so maybe the base material properties might still affect the paintjob haha.or maybe I'm just too fussy la.. hahaha |

Rewlie, your conjecture that newspapers make money from reporting news is utter bullshit. Newspapers make money from advertisements, advertorials, distribution sales. I'm not a journalist, but surely they'd be pissed to read what you're implying. Journalist go through ethics courses, because it is their responsibility to deliver the news, and not sell propaganda. Given, our mass media outlets are controlled by pollitical parties, and therefored skewed when it comes to politics, but car news? What does BN or Pakatan has to gain? Nothing. Previously you presented your pointson the Lancer admirably, but now, you've seem to degenerated into another mindless drivel-spouting egoistical basher. Just let it go, because asking for proof from a news article (not a newspaper ARTICLE, which may be written based on opinions or sometimes even for advertorials), is idiocy at best. If you don't believe the news, no one can convince you that it's true. The news is SUPPOSED to be trusted. Otherwise, it cannot be called a newspaper. It will be called a gossip magazine, or sued for... what's that term... defamation?

QUOTE(rewlie @ Nov 26 2010, 03:59 PM) Well done ( = I'm glad you're showing us your well versed knowledge of sodomy, but no thanks. I guess finally after all the complements for the Inspira, now that some negative feedback are starting to crop up, you dare to show your true colours huh? Pretending to be neutral, but deep down inside... all raging. Pity pity. I understand if you're upset. I understand if the Inspira is not perfect. I KNOW the Lancer isn't that great a car to begin with. Overrated since the early 2000s. What I don't understand is why people can be, for lack of better words, such fanboys. I guess rationality is in short supply these days.Say the right things, and you get attention. Say things rightly, and you get respect. Before you think I'm a fanboy offended by your remarks, I personally think the 1.8 and 2.0 auto sucks. I'd get a Forte or a City any day over them. But the 1.8 manual, now that's a unique car in the market - Unless someone can prove me otherwise ( = This post has been edited by RahXeph0n: Nov 26 2010, 05:57 PM |
