Can we all get back to posting your own songs ?

If you guys want every single thread in the Musicians as a spam thread, I'll ask the Admins to move the entire forum under the Kopitam

I'm already kind enough not to issue warnings for spamming, so please don't take advantage of that

Greetings!

I'm new to this lyn. I have just created this song and feel like to share with you guys & gals, and I would like to hear some comments from the floor. This song is called 'Easy Going', FYI, it's a chinese song. The entire song was written, composed and produced by me. Addition to that, I'm the vocal as well. blush.gif

Feel free to download and listen. Thanks for your time. Most importantly, please tell me how do find about the song. I'm ready to accept criticism as I'm not a pro musician. smile.gif

wtf ?!? I posted a whole reply earlier, but it disappeared !?!
nvmind.
I was saying that your producer's skills and your voice were amazingly good. I especially like the way you overdubbed layers of voices, very airy.
Now, about the composition, the bass is overwhelming and repetitive, and so is actually the whole structure of the song. You could have introduce more exotic breaks into this linear beat. But that's part of the RnB thinggy : the repetition makes the track "easy listening", and you can target a wider, less demanding audience I suppose.
Hands up anyway, that's a nice track, with a very professional touch, all ready for radio broadcast. But it's the kind of songs you listen once and forget...

what about "poom-chak poom poom chik a boom... chuga-chuga-chuga" ?
of course, that'd work only for japanese lyrics.

Thats a nice song, I always wish that I can compose also. U dont have to be so humble, ur song is nice. thumbup.gif

For the layers of voices, it sounds very nice. Nice arrangement. But one thing that I dont like it, its the lyrics. If Im not mistaken, its almost the same, isnt it ?

Anyway, well done. Im looking for ur songs. Will love to listen ur other works too.

Thanks guys for your comments n feel great to hear it.
As u said is correct, the lyrics is repeated then i will try to do improvement in my coming work.

For the arrangment part, i'm using Fruity Loops on doing it and i found its quite easy on arranging a song but im still a beginner for this program.

Then the recording part, any suggestion for good software? As i'm using Acid Pro to done my recording n its quite difficult to use.

Well, once again thank you guys for your idea n comments on my song n im much aprctd it.
brgds..

hi strings

nice sound you've got there! i don't understand chinese, but the vocals sound superb!

the other guys were right by saying that you need to include more breaks or different arrangements and melody between the song.

i suggest you try out Adobe Audition for recording. Acid Pro can record, but it's more focused on loop-based sequencing, so the recording capabilities are limited. Audition is a full-on multitrack recording mixer and it has loads of features for recording.

but for me, i've been using Fruityloops, Acid Pro and Audition for many years now, but i think i only know how to use 5% of the features biggrin.gif

hi guys... i've been meddling with doing remix stuffs for fun, and just wanna share with you this song. Originally Jewel's Foolish Games.

i chose this song to try out the Vocal Extractor function in Adobe Audition, using the 'Acapella' preset.

i tried to get the dreamy delay effect often used in House and Trance song, but didn't quite get it right. also, lots of out of sync vocal placement... sound also haven't been mixed properly... basically the song is just for me to try extracting vocals from a song and building another soung around it based on the original's melody and arrangement... quite satisfied with what i got biggrin.gif

Vocals extracted in Adobe Audition
Loops, synths and effects created in Fruityloops
Sequenced in Acid

Foolish Games remix

btw i've updated the 1st post... wooooh! anybody who's got updated links to their expired songs please PM me yeahhh

Yop, concerning the Toneport this is a kind of lame ass song I made just to fill in the time hehe. Got no bass guitar so no bass sound and still trying to figure out the ableton software thus kinda still mess up. Mind the guitar playing, I'm still a newbie biggrin.gif

Heya Guys Just another song I composed like for a duration of 30 minutes. Really bad guitar playin whistling.gif whistling.gif biggrin.gif . Just wanna share someother cool effect It can produce. Give a little bit of panning. Mainly use the tube screamer stompbox for that crunchy effect!
