Oic, 4-5 month already. Looks like this model very popular, display set all taken already laugh.gif
QLED still at RM8k price range, price seem not going down much.

Usually the price only start slashing when next model (for next year) is coming out.

Most probably usually around end year/early next year, then my March the price slash is even more.

what i mean is on top of 2 years warranty from samsung, add another 3 years, so total 5 years. if not mistaken 700+, i didnt take it btw hmm.gif

I know what u mean.
What I m trying to say is 3th year is free if u r SenHeng members (join fee RM12)
Then u only need to pay additional RM5XX for 2 years extra.

Still cheaper than RM7XX right for 3 years!? innocent.gif

The equal model for KS7000 is Q7 right? So expected the price of Q7 will be more or less same with KS7000 now next year?

I am a member, I guess I entitle additional warranty for 1 year. For the additional warranty, if not mistaken he quoted me RM700+ and he said all in the warranty will cover for total 5 years. So, 2 years additional warranty RM700+ perhaps? sweat.gif

When I bought additional 3 years from Senheng, it was about 430. The TV price is 4000. I guess the insurance is based on the purchased price.

Q7 price now is higher than last year KS7000 at the same time, for the 65" it is even higher than KS9000 and not only KS7500. Don't expect it to drop below RM11K 1st half next year for 65" especially it is the more popular flat screen model. The best bargain will be to find a good display set mid next year when the 2018 models are out.

Btw, there is 65" KS7500 out there at very reasonable price if you don't mind the curved screen.

I have a question about HDR videos, the TV normally automatically detect if the source video has got HDR or not and set the picture mode to HDR accordingly. There is no problem when I play the 4K HDR video from external sources like USB HDD or from media player but when I play the 4K HDR demo from Youtube, the TV can't detect it. Any idea why? Youtube is still with the highest count of HDR sources.

How much the price? 65" size is about right for curved screen, any smaller than that the benefits of curved screen will be felt minimal laugh.gif

I think probably the resolution of the video u watch in YouTube TV is not in 4K because we can't switch to our preferred resolution as it will auto switch based on ur network speed.
Try open up 'Stats for nerds' in ur YouTube TV to see what resolution it is playing.

My KS7000 can detect HDR from Youtube demo. This is with the bulit-in Youtube app.

I doubt it can detect HDR mode if you are playing Youtube from other sources like PS4, Android box etc..

You probably right, but the picture looks so good, I believe it is in 4K. Let me check your suggestion.

I'm using the built-in TV Youtube app only, I'm not playing Youtube from external sources. I'm playing 4K HDR .mkv file from external HDD connected to the USB port of the TV and that the TV can detect the HDR source.

Samsung TV have good upscaling engine, u can barely notice significant difference between Full HD and 4K from a high quality source.

You are exactly same as me... LOL
Other countries has got the 65" KS7000 but we don't. Don't understand why Samsung Malaysia think we all preferred the curved TV. 55" too small. Alternative if can find LG UH950t is good also, the 4k is quite impressive.
