Sengheng also offer me about the same.
Samsung Q7F RM7899 and rebate 10% into Sengheng account for next purchase. Which I plan to buy a 450L fridge for new home.

OLED vs QLED? Need to read more on this beside the burn in issue with OLED.

Thanks for the Lzd suggestion, tried engage few of them, no response so far. Even comment in Lzd, 11street, shopee few shop, no feedback too.
I m guess its okay. I think I might just look for a latest model then.

Tomorrow I'll go back Pahang hometown, will drop by and have a look. But bit scare coz i need them to install the new TV in my condo in KL. Wonder they may extra charging me or not!? hahaha... anyway, will go n have a look... ^^

Samsung QLED TV is still LCD panel with LED backlighting. QLED stands for Quantum Dot LED (same concept as SUHD from 2016 but upgraded version) is basically just one layer of filter with tiny particles added in front of the backlighting to better manage the colors to ensure accuracy and range. One enhancement for QLED TV is the peak brightness which can reach 1500nits. This is no different from what is being used by LG for their SUHD TV with so called Nanocells technology.

On the other hand OLED (Organic LED) is a completely new TV panel technology and it will be the future for TV panel. OLED panel is with individual self emitting light pixels and each of the pixels can be switch on and off, achieving true blacks and infinite contrast level that no LED backlighting TV can match, doesn't matter what quantum dots technology is being used. Also OLED TV has got the best color range and accuracy as well as the widest viewing angle. Samsung TV using VA panel which has got limited viewing angle and the side view will have degraded picture quality. Also not forgetting LG OLED support Dolby Vision that required hardware support and not just the software HDR support as that from Samsung.

Between QLED and OLED at the same price, it is a no brainer choice. Don't even need to think which is the better choice. QLED is just another marketing gimmick by Samsung, why all their top end mobiles using AMOLED anyway, anyone complain the their S8 screen doesn't look good? OLED burn in issue? I have seen many OLED display sets that runs 12 hours per day at the shops for months, didn't observed any such issue and both the color and brightness are still top notch. QLED TVs are price even higher than OLED TV which is simply ridiculous.

How much is the KS7000, this is the 55" right? I will get the KS7000 if there is 65" like in other markets.

I'll avoid display set tho...
I read somewhere the so called "shop/demo mode" those TV on display actually will reduce the life span faster than usual mode we are using at home

for me, buying display unit it's kinda like gamble

buy at your own risk wink.gif
*
Completely agreed. I bought my first LED TV, Samsung 55" many years ago when it was just released for ~RM10k vs new set of RM13k. Bought the display set used in the shop for ~3 months to save RM3k. The TV panel spoiled right after 5 years. My other Panasonic LCD TV 3 years older is still running fine as of today.

Now it is harder to find a good 65" TV at reasonable price, the new Samsung MU series is expensive but picture quality can't match that of last year's KS series.

I find MU7000 has better build quality than KS7000 anyways

And 65 inch is always better than 55 inch especially in the living since more screen space is more immersive (i remember you mention your seating is also roughly 6 feet plus so that's perfect) (PS KS7000 has no 65 inch variant release in Msia, only bigger one than 55 would be 60, and it's damn rare)

Color reproduction is comparable on both panels (roughly the same),  brightness is well, pretty good (KS7000 can get brighter a bit more)

The only thing missing is the moth eye coating I think, which if there is no bright light source reflecting or sun reflection, you can't really notice it.

Regardless it's a good buy. Enjoy your new TV at your new home XD

BTW what's the damage? IINM 65 inch is priced high, and the RRP is like 5 digit number haha.
*
Not sure about build quality but don't think the MU7000 and KS7000 are the same in picture quality. I have seen the KS7500 (curve version of KS7000) and MU7000 both 65" side by side showing the same video, the KS7500 to me is significantly better. KS7000 should be more closer to that from the QLED series. Also among the MU, MU9000 is the best, the only problem is it is curve, not my taste.

What is the lowest price for 65" MU7000? I think it is same or higher than the LG SJ850t which might be a better choice.

Lowest price for MU7000 65" nearly to 5 digits.
Do approach a malay guy in 1U SenQ during weekend, he got some "special code" some time to get cheaper deals.

He offered MU6100 65" with RM5699 price tag for me. But I didnt resort to take it. As I enjoyed sharper and richer colors. At least also MU6300. But he said he only have one code for MU6100 65" which normally sell about RM6399.
*
Yes, MU7000 65" is at almost RM10k which is ridiculous for such picture quality. MU6100 65" at RM5699 is not special price, 11street is selling for RM5688. But KU6000 is much cheaper.

If curve TV is not a problem, I think the 65" KS7500 can be a good buy, I think Harvey Norman still got stock, price slightly lower than MU7000.

For local store, RM5699 is a special price edy.

Anyway, buy liao... just njoi first... gonna install my free astro soon.
Now ... which hifi or sound system i should go for? Any recommendation that suitable and can match with this tv?
Looking for a good set... hopefully not so expensive.
*
It is very difficult to interpret "good HiFi set that is not so expensive". You got to be very clear on your requirements and budget. Your priority need to be clear, either for movies with 5.1 or 2 channels stereo music. It is not so easy to construct a reasonable set of 5.1 HT below RM5K.

Hi. I'm looking for KS7000 as well. Where do you get yours?
*
I only know Lazada got it. KS7000 is definitely a good buy but unfortunately the 55" is small for me. I'm looking for 65" flat panel and it is so difficult to get a good one for RM7K-8K budget. Any suggestion?

There is no 65" for KS7000, unless you are talking about 60". Anyway I will check out this weekend. TQ.

It's probably the KS7500 65 inch (I see that still floating around alot due to the higher price = harder sell. In fact I believe brand new units for those is still floating around multiple places.
For 5.1 you may want to look for those Samsung unit with the wireless unit for the back speakers, makes wiring so much easier to handle.

Not sure if got such set for below RM1k though, I believe I got mine for like 3k+ 5 years ago LOL.
*
Yes, KS7500 65" is easy to find and it cost ~RM9k++ for new set, the main problem is I don't like curved tv.

For the Home Theater set, suggest don't go for the wireless unit, half of the price of the unit will be just for wireless feature and the RM2-3K unit will sound like crap, had one before from Sony. If you can increase your budget to RM2-3K, there are much better option.

LOL. Hmmm my HT-6750W did not sound like crap though. It's old though so I don't have support for the latest Dolby like Atmos. Feel like upgrading hahaha but man new sets are so darn expensive nowadays.
*
LOL....Your HT-6750W will sound like crap if you have the proper HT system. In fact all these thin and tall speakers from the bundled system all sound crap.. hahaha! ATMOS is not only about the AVR, you need support of the ATMOS speakers as well.

If you have budget at even RM2.5K, I can intro a set which will be better than yours. Of coz if you have RM8k budget it will be much easier... hehe! But most HT system are not good for stereo music, you need to add stereo amp.

No idea on this unit but to me for that kind of price I will add few hundreds to 1k and get a better 5.1 HT system.
I suggest you go for an audition and after that try the one below also and share your comment.

Looks like most if not all of us will be looking at the 3 namely Samsung, LG and Sony for a set of TV. However, something changed my perception completely and it is the Pana EX750. The picture quality is as good as the Samsung SUHD but at lower price, fall in love with it when I saw it for the first time. To me it is way better than the MU7000.

Haven't bought yet as it is very new into the store, expecting the price to drop after a while.

Any entry level TV has just the basic HDR support.

Which means it can decode HDR signal but the panel is unable to "show" the high dynamic range due to the inability to hit peak brightness as well as black levels needed for HDR image to really give the wow factor.

Esp when most entry level TV is basically full with 8 bit panel, hence it doesnt even have the wide range of color that can be displayed.

Just don't expect too much. Decent HDR panels are going around 5k+ now while flagships are going to 5 digit range.

Anyways for entry level you're better looking for TV you be better looking for a panel with the best Picture Quality you find acceptable within your budget range.\

I cant vouch for any brands, as different ppl eye have different preference (whether it is VA panel, or IPS panel)

Some ppl vouch by Sony, some Samsung, some Panasonic, and blah blah blah

The best way to do testing is to go Harvey (you dont need to buy from them)

Bring a USB stick or something with a video that you watch the most, ask them to loan you their remote, turn down their setting to regular movie setting, and eyeball all the TV within your budget range.

Picture Quality is very human dependent. What looks nice to you might not look nice to another.
*
Very true, a lot of times it is all about human eyes. However, it is not difficult to see the different in PQ when you can compare 2 TVs side by side. Harvey Norman or Best Denki are definitely good place to check out all the models. I personally not impressed with MU6100.

I thought MU6300 is the curved version of MU6100, are both different?
There is nothing exciting about the MU series this year from Samsung, picture quality is really average. Still hard to decide on the right 65" flat TV to buy for below RM10k.

Don't check the models from other countries, we don't get a lot of those TV models available at other countries unfortunately. We can only check the review as the reference, however the specs might be different. Below is the MU6300 for Malaysia:

not bad.. mostly I see around 3years+ already gone case  puke.gif

You are referring to Samsung TV only or all other brands as well. My own experience is Samsung is the worst, my Pana Plasma still perfectly fine after 9 years and my LG LED still like new after 3 years. Samsung LED both display panel and speakers got problem after 5 years.

Still searching for my new 65" flat TV, so difficult to decide on the right one sad.gif

My Pana Plasma & LG LED (IPS) seems lasting than Samsung LED (VA), my Samsung panel is faulty. Possibility that IPS panel is more reliable than VA panel? Maybe not my own myth biggrin.gif

I vote for 65KS9000...u made u right choice dude!
*
If the 65KS9000 is at almost the same price with the OLED, and it become a better/right choice, it just doesn't make sense to me. Picture quality is not purely about peak brightness, but the contrast (black level), color gamut (rich and natural colors) and response time, viewing angle etc. The peak brightness looks good in the very bright showroom but most peoples don't need that kind of brightness at home, it will be blinding. Also the KS9000 color is very saturated.

The KS9000 is good among the LED TVs but not against the OLED. The feature offered by the LG OLED especially the Dolby Vision is not available in any Samsung TV.

The equal model for KS7000 is Q7 right? So expected the price of Q7 will be more or less same with KS7000 now next year?
Q7 price now is higher than last year KS7000 at the same time, for the 65" it is even higher than KS9000 and not only KS7500. Don't expect it to drop below RM11K 1st half next year for 65" especially it is the more popular flat screen model. The best bargain will be to find a good display set mid next year when the 2018 models are out.

Btw, there is 65" KS7500 out there at very reasonable price if you don't mind the curved screen.
