Series 8 model vs Series 6... Answer seems pretty obvious if the more expensive JS8000 is within your budget... No, depending on viewing distance & room size... 55" is pretty much norm nowadays... The further away the viewing distance, the bigger the screen required for that SUHD advantage over FHD.

Unless Samsung Malaysia has changed shipping SOPs (Highly unlikely). The TV should have been delivered with at least a pair of Samsung active 3D glasses (batteries included). While the TV is able to display pseudo-3D through the process of 2D - 3D conversion, its advisable to get real 3D content, such as one found on Blue-ray discs or try 3D videos on YouTube for maximum 3D effects. I'm unsure about 3rd party glasses, so better get originals from Samsung or authorized dealers.

I dont see anymore less than RM5k price tag for the TV now. Cheapest for now would be SengHeng/Harvey Norman, RM5699/RM5799 (new unit)

I find Harvey Norman carry the most TV on display

Go there check display unit to test buy elsewhere

Finally my Samsung 46 UA46ES7100 Series 7 Full HD 3D LED TV bought back in 2010 have 1 obvious "Black Dot"      ... a year ago got 3 line at side and Samsung Tech change the whole panel... now the dot.

Fortunate that still warranty by SenHeng, only that they informed & offered me ~2.6K for buying another tv instead of changing another panels. Reason are the model already out of market.

Need advice on which model to choose next

2 wks back  I saw ESH ss2 selling for nearly Rm 6k. When I mentioned some other place was selling for rm 4,8xx they were willing to match the price.

However it was still out of my budget so I bought the display set from Best 1U instead.
