LOL after removing my HyypTV from my system the HDMI-CEC is all working again (My HT 6750w finally can detect as HDMI Receiver sound output)

But LOL after like a day plus of standby of the player, it decides to unpair all HDMI-CEC again hahahaha. Only can revive the handshake by removing HDMI4 cable. And then I change cable it will revive again, then died again after a few days.

I'm beginning to think it's my HT6750W also have problem with CEC handshake just like stupid HyypTV. Maybe it cannot be left standby at all LOL.

Haha... Mine doesn't exhibit such. Though, next sound equipment upgrade will have to be an AVR setup.. Done dealing with HTs. So much for them being simpler. Just plug in all HDMI sources into the AVR, let it sort out the audio and pass video feed on to the TV. A decent one might handle the whole HDMI-CEC thing much better.

Spec wise is more or less identical. But whichever your budget tell you to.

Just take note that if you don't need the TV in a hurry, the MU series will be starting their price slash within this 4-5 months tongue.gif

In fact the price slash already started, but the amount will only grow bigger as time pass.

might need it this month though. usually the biggest sales is the end of the year? what about merdeka sale? haha

Yeah I'm thinking of a Yamaha RX series (Dolby Amplifier). Perhaps maybe I just buy it first and plug in my existing HT speaker to cheapskate first until got budget to buy better speakers hahahaahaha. It sounds dumb though XD. But survey around holy crap tall speakers are so darn expensive (it easily can hit 6k for all 5 plus subwoofer)

EDIT : I do believe the stupid speakers cannot plug in to another amplifier without blowing up though XD

I strongly advise against connecting HT-specs speakers to an AVR.. For one, most usually ship with proprietary connectors that don't allow for other common connections. For example, my previous Phillips HT 5.1 setup... I'm stuck with perfectly working speakers cuz the main player is broken. Couldn't get it fixed anywhere then. So had to buy a Samsung to match the TV. Did reno and had to cut budget for audio equipment. biggrin.gif Just keep using as is till it's time to change.. By then, tech should be more standardized and affordable.

The Lg OLED had what you call ABL feature (Automatic Backlight Limiter). Under certain situations the ABL will kick in automatically and dim the screen.  A lot of people complained about that feature in earlier models , being too aggresive. This feature maybe has to do with either Preventing Image Retention or maybe to preserve the lifespan of Oled display. Just an uneducated guess so pls don't quote me.

Even HRD10  allow Oled to be less bright to get the certification (around 600 nits brightness compared to Led/Lcd 1000 nits).

For later/current  Oled models I think LG set the ABL to be less agressive.

Yea it's definitely better with the latest models. But it's only a slight improvement. Still not enough to push me to bite the bullet.

But I'm in no way saying LED or OLED which is better which is not. Just saying which I preferred.

At the end of the day both are fantastic pieces of tech with their own pros and cons. Just go for whichever works and suits best for you and you will hardly go wrong.

People bickering and arguing which is better is like those same stupid arguments like pc gaming vs console gaming, PlayStation vs Xbox or not too long ago curved tv vs flat.

Why can't everyone just be thankful we even have these choices to make in the first place. Sheesh.

I've seen the mu6100 and tbh I can't tell it apart from the ku6000 apart from the different tv stand.

If it's both of these TVs you are looking at get the ku6000 and use whatever money you save on a nice dinner. PQ is identical.

I thought MU6300 is the curved version of MU6100, are both different?
There is nothing exciting about the MU series this year from Samsung, picture quality is really average. Still hard to decide on the right 65" flat TV to buy for below RM10k.

But I'm very sure, there's 2 different model being displayed in Malaysia.
I checked in 1U, lying side by side, MU6100 and MU6300. Two different model. Not as MU6300 in US while MU6100 in Malaysia.
Maybe MU6300 is a flat screen in US while MU6300 is Curved Screen in Malaysia.

If u says MU6300 = KU6300, this undestandable.

Even in Samsung Malaysia webpage, it shows 2 different model. MU6100 and MU6300 curve.
http://www.samsung.com/my/tvs/uhd-tv/

Confused betul rclxub.gif but i do see these 2 models being shown and displayed in local stores...

Don't check the models from other countries, we don't get a lot of those TV models available at other countries unfortunately. We can only check the review as the reference, however the specs might be different. Below is the MU6300 for Malaysia:

You are referring to Samsung TV only or all other brands as well. My own experience is Samsung is the worst, my Pana Plasma still perfectly fine after 9 years and my LG LED still like new after 3 years. Samsung LED both display panel and speakers got problem after 5 years.

Still searching for my new 65" flat TV, so difficult to decide on the right one sad.gif
