QUOTE(#Victor @ Jul 11 2017, 12:58 PM) Of course u need to connect ur smartphone to the WiFi unless u connect ur smartphone thru LAN, but if u use Samsung phone with Samsung TV, u can discover nearby TV even without connecting to the same network for screen mirroring. Y u need connect ur smartphone to LAN? for what purpose?discover nearby TV as you have enabled the smart view features in Samsung mobile depends on models Samsung Smart TV need to enable mirroring as well. QUOTE(voncrane @ Jul 11 2017, 05:49 PM) No shit Sherlock! I see Who said anything about connecting the smartphone via ethernet cable? Fella posted about connecting the TV via ethernet cable. And yes, that will work and with compatible devices, it is automatic.. It's been around for years. TV connected via cable to router and phone connected via WiFi to the same network. FYI, LAN stands for Local Area Connection. So, connecting to a wifi network also establishes a LAN connection.. You may want to actually know about stuff before commenting as if others are dumb.. i ve got 2 TVs one is Smart TV (at ground floor with Sound Bar connected) and the other is TV with LAN(connected to hppyTV- First Floor) Smart TV can browsing, Youtube, streaming, drama TV, FB, iflix, Netflix, etc via Wifi. My Smartphone usually do screen mirror with my Smart TV or vice versa for sharing Video or any doc This is my setup in my house |

QUOTE(Haruji Sora @ Jul 13 2017, 06:49 PM) Powering down the TV through the remote before physically turning off the switch is recommended as TV has become complex and powering down allows "some" functions to go to standby mode. most important is to prevent power surge after power restore from electricity black outKilling the power is not supposed to happen unless you know, your electricity got cut off. Put it this way, for your desktop you dont want to kill the plug power before you shut down Windows right? |

QUOTE(Haruji Sora @ Jul 14 2017, 11:36 AM) Quoting from other Forum I'm reading in relation to killing the power The above is based on theoretically is YES"In the case of a digital television, you're talking about a power transformer inside the set that is really rated to handle those peak voltages, even at startup - but over time when you constantly subject a component to that spike it simply ages quicker. The short answer is - no, you can't damage a digital TV by using a power strip to turn it off (especially if it's a high-quality surge protector), but yes it can age the set more quickly by putting the power components in the TV under a little more stress than they need to face." "Electrical it's not advisable: You will certainly shorten the life of the power strip and or switch until it is damaged. Whenever you intercept a circuit (using a switch or pulling the cord) an electric arc is created. Usually this arc exists only for a millisecond (or less)." So basically, it won't spoil your set instantly, but it may cause some "degradation" to the power supply (the one that takes the 240v and convert to electric that your TV needs). It will be minor degradation but it will compile over time and in the long run it may cost problem. But based on practically, when there is power surge or lightning strike will damage of the motherboard of the electronically devices include PC, TV, Servers, etc which I have experienced in offices. When TM need to shutdown the main power supply to all floors of the building for their maintenance in certain hours especially during weekends or any lightning strike When power resume the main power to supply for all building usually higher voltages and currents that’s higher than normal which can fry the chips of any component of motherboard of electronic devices Therefore, we usually power off the TV via remote then manually power off the powerplug when no in use |

QUOTE(emefbiemef @ Jul 21 2017, 12:00 AM) Guys, just bought a UA55KU6000, quick q: since you have this smart tv then use unifi instead of use those old technology !!1) There's no Games tab in the Smart Hub. How to enable it? 2) The antenna connector is RF. I plan to buy a Yakaki digital antenna, but the cable type is RG6. How to connect? 3) I hooked up a 4tb Passport NTFS external hard disk, it can browse the content but when I tried to play, it says unsupported format. I copied the same video to a usb NTFS thumb drive and it played flawlessly. Why? 4) How can I play a file from a network share with this tv? Thanks |

QUOTE(sigheart @ Jul 27 2017, 12:38 PM) Well that is just your opinion. fyiI have a 65" KS9000 mounted on the wall of my home and I have friends who have 65" C6s mounted on the wall as well and it looks just as great if not better IMO. But I will not knock you on your preferences. After all this highly depends on one's taste. However, FYI it is not difficult at all to mount curved TVs on the wall or panels. I DIY-ed it myself and helped my mates as well and each time it was no more difficult mounting a curve as compared to mounting a flat. Flat or curved they all come with the same standard VESA mount interface. Please stop spreading false information if you've actually never done something yourself before. basically i was indent to buy Curve TV at the end i give out due to mounted blacket was different requirement which need to add in additional cost on it. I find that it was wasted of Therefore switch to non curve smart TV, use back my existing mounted blacket and fixed perfectly. This is no false information, this is true. which i fixed it by myself. |
