When you want to show off whether the product is good are you gonna play a dvd quality video/images with some mediocre settings to impress your customers? Definitely no right.
Is just that when it comes to home application you can still go with the dynamic settings or whichever that you find it suits your viewing pleasure. But I agree with some of them here that the Dynamic really hurt the eyes after some period of time watching. You can change to that settings to impress your guests once in a while but maybe not for day to day astro watching.
Anyway some additional lesson I learn from buying LCD/LED tvs is to always make sure your tv is protected with the max available warranty. My previous philips 47" broke down after just 1 month pass the warranty period and Philips quoted a freaking RM3k to fix it.

I can assume that 99% of the electrical shops, sets the TV to default demo mode or dynamic.
LED - 100 Backlight (Max 20 for samsung) , 100 Contrast
Plasma - 100 Contrast, Power saver off.
Contents - Bluray and BD Ripped.
To make it attractive

Thats the risk of buying a display set.
