QUOTE(ks98 @ Nov 19 2010, 07:12 PM) from what i see, a lot of ppl put a very high expectation on YES... this shows how desperate we are as broadband subscriber in this country... Whenever we see a new comer of ISP in this country, everyone will put a high expectation... same thing happen when Digi launched its BB on May 2009 last year. I don't know if this is ISP or users problem or someone else problem... The only good thing about it is just the voice calls. Might want to use it to replace my TM HomeLine if they can come out with a VOIP adapter or some sort so I can plug in my regular phone. I can't be turning on my soft phone on my computer all the time.

Ppl had high expectation because YES uses very misleading wording to hype their service... bordering on false advertisement I'd say.

YES tried to paint a very good pictures for us before the launch and too bad, what they think "good" is not really good to users... I think now the happiest ppl will be other ISP, e.g TMNut, Maxis, Digi, Celcom, Umobile, etc... coz they don't have to do anything as YES will not threaten them that much... I will stick to Digi or U mobile once my P1 contract expires. This post has been edited by Quantum_thinking: Nov 19 2010, 07:37 PM

and RM30/month is still the cheapest mobile internet in malaysia (still more expensive to SG cheapest after convert currency)

That's my beef with YES... from their ads and website, I expect true PAYU, I only pay if I use and my credit never expires... but now it seems we need to MAINTAIN minimum RM30 per month usage. They have the right to come up with whatever friggin' plan they like. But the way they hype it up gives the impression it's truely like "electricity billing". RM30/month < RM38/month by DiGi/maxis and I can accumulate bandwidth so I can SPAM while travelling w/o Internet connection =.= This post has been edited by greatgreedyguts: Nov 19 2010, 07:48 PM

Er..."accumulate bandwidth"???.... do you mean if I don't use up the RM30 for a month, then it is carried forward and won't expire? If that is true, then I take back my words This post has been edited by hsyong: Nov 19 2010, 07:54 PM

Yes, i expected the same things too... with RM30 monthly fee, how can they called it as PAYU... they really don't know what PAYU meant...

it shouldn't be called PAYU, feels like prepaid plans, RM 30 for 30 days
like other prepaid, but dont have the like DiGi spend RM35 for 1 year....
and it will carry foward as it WORKS EXACTLY LIKE PREPAID plans

Let's see the details tomorrow after the celebratory dust clears. But I'll probably have to let my registration lapse. Pity. I was so looking forward to a mobile service with no validity and no expiry. And I got such a good number too.
I wonder if anyone from YES is monitoring these forums.

I understand their conditions as minimum usageIf that is the case I prefer Digi's annual payment of RM35 (I thought it was RM30?) Cost just RM3 a month like your Tenaga bill when zero use. (I'm an ultra-light user)

Just you can't use if you didn't reload enough. I think it is exactly the same as prepaid from all the info i can search of
