And I thought that means I don't need to commit to any usage amount... but seems there is a RM30 min usage commitment per month?

"Credits that don't expire" ..... so what does this claim mean??
If I pay RM30 on the first month, then it will be gone the next month even if I don't use it, and I'll have to top up another RM30 right? So the credit actually EXPIRES! Or will it be carried forward and I only need to have minimum RM30 in the account at any one time? |

QUOTE(tympg @ Nov 19 2010, 02:50 PM) I was hoping to use Yes as my backup broadband in places where my DiGi broadband coverage is poor (like my living room). But looking at the required RM30 a month, I'm not so sure... Same as my case, planning to use as spare line. So their claim of "Your credit never expires" is just FALSE ADVERTISEMENT? The RM30 will expire in a month? |

QUOTE(ks98 @ Nov 19 2010, 07:12 PM) from what i see, a lot of ppl put a very high expectation on YES... this shows how desperate we are as broadband subscriber in this country... Ppl had high expectation because YES uses very misleading wording to hype their service... bordering on false advertisement I'd say.Whenever we see a new comer of ISP in this country, everyone will put a high expectation... same thing happen when Digi launched its BB on May 2009 last year. I don't know if this is ISP or users problem or someone else problem... |

QUOTE(greatgreedyguts @ Nov 19 2010, 07:41 PM) hm.... no need jump, can just subscribe the data plan, and use the dongle share to phone, RM30 for 1 GB...hm.... can support for my smartphones daily email/facebook/weather/whatsapp messenger without paying too much coz PAYU and I'm sure I wont use 1GB/month You still have to pay RM30 per month right? That's my beef with YES... from their ads and website, I expect true PAYU, I only pay if I use and my credit never expires... but now it seems we need to MAINTAIN minimum RM30 per month usage. They have the right to come up with whatever friggin' plan they like. But the way they hype it up gives the impression it's truely like "electricity billing". QUOTE(greatgreedyguts @ Nov 19 2010, 07:47 PM) RM30/month < RM38/month by DiGi/maxis I know that ... but I don't like the way they advertised in a misleading way, giving the impression that there is no monthly committment and no credit expiration.and I can accumulate bandwidth so I can SPAM while travelling w/o Internet connection =.= Er..."accumulate bandwidth"???.... do you mean if I don't use up the RM30 for a month, then it is carried forward and won't expire? If that is true, then I take back my words This post has been edited by hsyong: Nov 19 2010, 07:54 PM |

QUOTE(greatgreedyguts @ Nov 19 2010, 07:54 PM) it shouldn't be called PAYU, feels like prepaid plans, RM 30 for 30 days Exactly... like other prepaid, but dont have the like DiGi spend RM35 for 1 year.... and it will carry foward as it WORKS EXACTLY LIKE PREPAID plans So you mean if I don't finish the RM30 in a month, it will be carried forward and no expiry? QUOTE(totally_skint @ Nov 19 2010, 08:00 PM) You mean YES needs minimum monthly top-ups of RM30 and can carry forward? I've been asking since yesterday and can't get a straight answer... hope someone can clear this up for us? I understand their conditions as minimum usage If that is the case I prefer Digi's annual payment of RM35 (I thought it was RM30?) Cost just RM3 a month like your Tenaga bill when zero use. (I'm an ultra-light user) Plan to use as a spare line for use only when I'm out and about. (Probably just a few days in a month haha) This post has been edited by hsyong: Nov 19 2010, 08:04 PM |

QUOTE(darx84 @ Nov 20 2010, 01:33 PM) If you guys have not purchase this yet, i would advise not to buy this product. According to the YEScare center, every month minnimum have to topup RM30. Lets say you need to RM45 and you top up RM50 RM5 will be forfeited at the end of the month. WTF!!! I think I will go back to DIGI than. At the launch i check the speed is 4 to 5 mbs now at home i am getting 2.5mbs dl speed. THIS IS ALL A GODAM SCAM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Then what about their claim of "Credit Never Expires" ? This is FALSE ADVERTISEMENT then.Lots of conflicting info about this... need official clarification ---------------- Their Facebook has an update just now: "traffic to yes.my has been overwhelming and unfortunately we've also been getting DoS attacks" Attack organised by who?? Other telcos?? This post has been edited by hsyong: Nov 20 2010, 01:43 PM |

The YES.my website is working fine.
Clarification regarding the RM30 MUR by the YES facebook admin: "Hi everyone, to answer your questions on credit, credit will not expire. However, for the account to remain active, RM30 has to be loaded into the account each month. Any unused amount will be available for you to use the following month, s...o nothing is wasted |
