Well the 2nd MO for the doubleshots they are still deciding the color. If you go and cast your vote for color :/ maybe but i doubt people like that color.

QUOTE(THEswordmaster @ Nov 22 2010, 01:04 PM) hmm... just wondering, is there a chance they'll make chrome double-shot keycaps? LOL It'll be so bling that i'll go OMGTOOBRIGHTIMMAGONNADIE!!! and i think the price will be crazy too lol. i not too sure. But Filco telling me that they might able to support me in that. now still waiting info. so stay tune lorAnyways, haven't heard of filco red switch before... or maybe storm88 is refering to Cherry Keyboard with red switch? |

The picture above is showing the 6Gv2 right because the 7G backspace is small single button, the big 1 can fit? if yes i really wan to change it to big backspace. How about he the original | or \ key on the layout? This post has been edited by jasmineivan: Nov 22 2010, 02:55 PM |

Hi jas,
I just received my doubleshot key cap set today. k i've sorted them all out in proper order. All keys accounted for. Couldn't test type them cause my cherry keyboard hasn't arrived yet :/ But i can say that i really like the dolche color scheme. And people who thought that big font = ugly; well i can say they are wrong. Close up it's very nice The pictures don't do them justice All the letterings are crisp and clear; very easy to make out. The diamond extra keys are good replacements for the windows, however i like the windows keys so i will stick to those instead. Anyway, the backspace key is same size as the one on my Logitech G15 as a comparison. I don't have a Steelseries so i am not sure about that. the set comes with 104 standard keys for qwerty layout. Has a few extra keys such as - 1x capslocks which is stepped. - 1 x longer control key - 1 x orange colored W A S D keys - 1 x geekhack key Added on November 22, 2010, 3:21 pmOk here is a picture of the Steelseries 7G ![]() Comparing it and my doubleshot set, the differences are the enter is a J shape. the key above the enter is a smaller size. Also smaller backspace like you mentioned. So these are the only 3 differences between the steelseries and my doubleshot set. With that in mind J-shaped Enter $8.49 2 Blank character keys $0.42 So the solution if you got this doubleshot set, is to get 2 blank character keys; and 1 j shaped enter. But would you want the backspace and the "\|" to be blank ?? Anyway this mo was originally for the Filco. But my Ducky keyboard closely resembles so it should fit nicely on my ducky This post has been edited by Moogle Stiltzkin: Nov 22 2010, 03:21 PM |

considering getting a mechanical keyboard for typing (comp science) and gaming (sc2 especially where my current cheapo keyboard been affecting my apm a tonne especially ghosting issues))...
so i think i would be deciding between razer blackwidow vs SS 6gv2... which would u guys recommend... blackwidow is only up to 6nkeys but i think its more than enuff rite (the 6gv2 have unlimited when it is connected via ps/2)... pretty much concerned with the nkro issue since i am a sc2 player... and i am tempted by the extra macro keys... though i am pretty lost about the blue (though razer said they innovated from standard blue) vs black and had no experiences wit either... thanks... ps: i do type kinda hard since been using crappy keyboards for quite some time >.< This post has been edited by evofantasy: Nov 22 2010, 03:30 PM |

Basically BW got no problem with antighosting quite good in optimizing, only problem is ZXC cant be stroked together. For typing experience, theoretically MX blue is more advance but also more to personal preference. For my case i hate BW because it is clicky that totally difference from my 7G's no click. For gaming performance, MX black should be better choice. With no click 6Gv2, it is easier to do double tapping and triple tapping, example when you summoning and teleport your bunch of stalkers to opponent area by pylon, i think the way you do is select the gate by keyboard shortcut then do double tap or whatever to spam stalkers right (mostly i did). Anyway since you say you do lot programming coding work, BW is good enough in typing experience and most people think type on BW is not as tiring as MX black. |

Did you notice i posted that PChome (Taiwan company) is doing a 20 USD global shipping promotion for this month only ? (weight is for as much as 10 keyboards, so shouldn't be a problem) It's a good deal to get a Ducky keyboard and for cheaper than a 7G. If you get the palm rest included, i am pretty sure the cost is still below that of a 7G and would be much more comfortable than the Steelseries plastic palm rest. They also seem to have Filco keyboards as well as the cherry mx red G80-3494 Anyway i suggest you check out the pricings first to compare before you decide :} Remember the steelseries is using cherry mx black switches. G80-3494 is red switches. Filco and ducky have choices between brown, blue and black cherry mx switches. When buying a mechanical keyboard, you must seriously consider the switches that come with them, because they are different from one another This post has been edited by Moogle Stiltzkin: Nov 22 2010, 06:05 PM |

@evofantasy
since your haven't buy it yet, got some suggestion for you. try check out the price of the filco leather palm rest and see whether got any opportunity to import it. It should be more comfortable compare to 7G's rest and look elegant also. Some more you no need to bundle the keyboard and rest together. Then maybe can wait later only get the rest (note: the leather wrist rest is very rarely seen in malaysia, if don't have such effort to looking for it better just take 7G) |

get a regular wrist rest from 3M, or Filco leather if you can afford.
keyboard go with 6Gv2, no need 7G, 7G's wrist rest is already fix, you cant move it, is fixed in a position. and it is just a plastic. This post has been edited by OCN_fssbzz: Nov 22 2010, 11:18 PM |
