Font looks nice (although since i don't read/write chinese i would prefer just regular US letterings. However could be useful for others.)

I tend to prefer black casings. However the coloring seems to have been done nicely doh.gif

Is it NKRO ? And what key print does it use ? ABS or PBT keycaps (doesn't really matter which, just wondering).

The keyboard wire seems to be missing. Is this a detachable cable like the Ducky keyboards ?

ps: cyclone i added you. I didn't know you were a mechanical kb veteran notworthy.gif

Anyway ripster from geekhacks has made a guide how to remove and install keycaps for cherry mx switches, topres, and alps.

I'll pin that to the first post.

By the way whiterice from GH has received the Signature Plastic custom made double shot keycaps

He is going to separate them out for 50 ish people and ship them out. You can tell that they are double shots because underneath the keycap is a different color of plastic. These caps letterings won't wear out. The only con is they are abs and can eventually shine, but as long as letterings don't wear, i'm happy laugh.gif can't wait to get mine

Personally i think Whole set white colour or black colour looks better, maybe it's just my tatse, but i don't prefer keyboard to be too colourful(i meant on the casing of the keyboard, not about the keycaps)

Maybe the keyboard is has a wire management underneath the keyboard.(so the wire that connects to keyboard is underneath too)
do note the picture was taken while the keyboard is standing(notice the shadow)

Yes, Double Shot is one most durable if it's compared to other method of font lettering on keycaps. There's one more con, When used over a long period of time, not only it becomes shiny, you can actually feel the edge of the both plastic meets. Well, that's not really a con, but something like your personal taste, some find it annoying.

Thanks for the latest updates, but the last picture should be removed or resize, as well as put a spoiler tag on the pictures. Picture is too big for the forum to handle.

I don't know if anyone from Malaysia has one yet; but modernopc say their are going to stock it. But people reported in thread they have a delay in getting the stock :/

However i haven't been actively kept up to date for the BW in Malaysia since i'm not really interested with a 2KRO kb :/

Anyway on another topic, here is some youtube guides for removing/installing keycaps

Razer BlackWidow/BW Ultimate: 2KRO - see "gaming optimized" section for failure modes

Honestly how can they say it's a gaming keyboard when it's only 2KRO. The minimum needed is 6KRO at least, but even then some gamers may need NKRO to get 7 simultaneous key presses for games like O2JAM.

The BW looks nice alright, if you don't mind glossy finger print magnet; and you don't mind cherry mx blue switches; and 2KRO (which i doubt a gamer would be satisfied with for a so called premium kb). the BW lighting is good as it uses LEDs for each of the 104 keys.

Your better of getting a Steelseries 6gv2 or 7g (if you like black switches); or a Filco (coming soon in December to malaysia ?); or if you want you can get a Ducky 9008 (either via Singapore bulk; or you start one for Malaysia if you want a better price); there's also the g80-3494 lycus-2 black (uses the rare cherry mx red linear switches, but harder to get, and have to use Tabao). It all comes down to which of these is cheapest doh.gif

Mechanical keyboard cannot instantly improve your typing speed.
After you get use to it and actuate the typing force then will be much more faster.
Long period of typing is depends on how long you can concentrate your mind instead of your typing skill.

I tried before and my experience before is, the longer i try to type faster, the slower the speed, because can't concentrate on it and keep on do mistake.

The thing with laser-etched keys is that they are filled with white paint, since laser can only produce a black mark.

So the paint will go sooner than the laser-etched surface, which defeats the purpose IMO.

why cannot it has macros.. not everyone plays o2jam now, its kinda dead.....

ducky, filco, ss, all dont have macros......, some ppl need macros for wow, dota, etc strategy games, not everyone plays the same games... some need macros so they can cast skill quickly etc.

and there is no such thing as 6kro requirement to be called a gaming keyboard, dont simply say......

LOL no doubt that it is a ''gaming keyboard'' created for gaming purpose but the 2KRO really down it's value(usefulness) a little at least. Some game need high KRO and some game need macro. Thus it's potential to enjoy high KRO required game decreased...

But cant deny that it's specs and price still quite attractive. wink.gif

If Razer is not doing something to solve this problem, i won't consider it into my buy list.
2KRO is really unacceptable for me.
Very basic requirement for fps, you holding W, then need strafe to either left or right, then is already 2 keys, then how about when you want reload, crouch, prone, sprint, check score list, shift weapon?

Lycosa was the first keyboard that let me can feel the delay of the keyboard response, don't want BlackWindow become the second 1.

True.

I personally am interested in BW partly due to its macro even though its a mechanical KB.

I for one hates playing O2Jam and who would want to press ZXC simultaneously anyway. shakehead.gif

it still works around the ASWD cluster, just like all other "gaming" keyboards out there, so no worries.

Even though the bw is 2kro but its optimized in the wasd cluster area so FPS gamers should not have a problem.

Don't really see the need for NKRO actually.
However I remembered last time where multi player games were played on the same keyboard(good memories) me and my friend kept jamming the keyboard. Wished I had a 7g back then.
