What do you mean by uniformity? I'm not a fanboy so I can give my 2 cents. In fact, been using SteelSeries up until I got this BWU for free. lolz.

QUOTE(Iphone4Lover @ Jan 21 2011, 06:21 PM) OK then your opinion is highly appreciated. Hmm. They probably fixed it already. All the keys I press all sound the same to me (besides the spacebar of course, that always sound different on whatever keyboard you type on). Actuation force is all uniform to me, at least I dont feel any difference after extensive typing. The uniformity I mean is in the aspects of the feel and sound among all keys. Like i mentioned just now, i found out that 4 out of 5 BWU are having different feels of pressing(even among the kb owns keys). |

QUOTE(Iphone4Lover @ Jan 21 2011, 06:42 PM) May be you are the lucky one? The out of 5 kbs i tried, only 1 is uniform among all the 4 directional keys(not to count in another 104 keys BTW, any 1st batch BWU owner want to share if this occur to their KB? ![]() referring to the 1st post will do. We're born with different types of fingers. lol personally like linear keys better. |

My BWU got the different clicky sound from the third row ZXCV especially ZXC, there are totally like no clicky sound at all but it still functioning and Razer do not accept this kind of problem for RMA. I did ask for razer support and answered me this. |

QUOTE(Iphone4Lover @ Jan 21 2011, 08:34 PM) Hmmm, so it clearly does not only involve 2nd batch but batch 1 too ignoring the click sound, BWE still always safer option then BWU. The LED light consuming large amount of power form the USB port, it become very heavy duty to the keyboard cheaps and also the interface. Thats also the reason, why Lycosa got much more complaint than Arctosa. If so seems like BWE will be a safer choice than BWU as almost all BWE i tested feel and sound uniform but only 1 out of 5 BWU sound and feel uniform(not even mention about 104 more keys that cant be tested...) |

Very good news.
I managed to get hold of a G80-1295 HAU vintage keyboard with NKRO. What i like about this keyboard 1. authentic vintage beige/white double shot 101 key caps 2. US Ansi layout 3. NKRO (perfect for gaming) 4. an IBM look alike casing. Very sturdy, and looks good as well. Cherry keyboard casings have been cheapened because of cost cutting after the 1000 series. What i don't like about this keyboard 1. Cherry mx blacks. I plan on using the keyboard for gaming and just typing, so i can imagine blacks would be fine for gaming, but not so nice for just regular typing. But a native cherry blue, browns or clears with NKRO for the 1000 series is a near impossibility so this seems acceptable. After all i could always mod it to other cherry switches :} 2. It uses an AT port. However there are AT to PS2 adapters so that shouldn't be a problem. It has also been tested to work when using AT>PS2>USB meaning 1 adapter to convert to ps2, and another to convert to usb. Alternatively it could be modded to just have a ps2 cable then can just simply use a ps2 to usb adapter if required. |

agreed with both above.
The only keyboard that is 300 below will be Blackwidow Expert. All Keyboard that are from foreign country are with better quality and sturdy durable exterior and interior.(no offense to Razer fans) are mostly RM300 Above. |

QUOTE(Iphone4Lover @ Jan 22 2011, 09:06 AM) The only option that fir in the budget will be BlackWidowExpert. good recommendation! If you want to import from Taiwan then Ducky 1008 will be a better option(NKRO, 4extra keys and more choice of switches). It should cost less than RM 280(incluse postage) and buy more will be cheaper. new batch 1008 are better QC |
