QUOTE(Jet23sky @ Nov 3 2010, 09:11 AM) If 6950 is the price of 5850 which is RM999. Then what is the 5870 price? Don't tell me it will dropped almost RM300 straight to RM800+? someone at nvidia thread complain that it shouldnt be called 580 but instead 485 because they only fix the bug for gf100'c chip and everything is same old features. its not a new gen anyway not so interestedIf AMD really intend to have full range products and utilize each of them. 6950 should be placed btw RM1.2k ~ RM1.4k whereas the 6970 should be placed like 480 price. ( Or even lower ), which is around RM1600~ RM1800. From the AMD chart list, we know that 6970 and 6950 performance should be lower than 5970. Whereas the only card that can beat 5970 is 6990. And Nvidia 480 will be sandwiched btw 6950 and 6970, they want to seal off the entire 480 market totally. Next week Nvidia will release 580. ( As I expected since last month cause I dont think Nvidia will be stupid enough to give away Christmas market to AMD again This post has been edited by law1777: Nov 3 2010, 12:58 PM |

QUOTE(Piros @ Nov 3 2010, 01:14 PM) Don't expect too much. hopefully it happened when 6770 is released, no harm to keep dreaming right I dun think the HD5770 price will drop that much as there was not a product that AMD release to replace the HD57xx series. In fact that are planning to keep it for the time being. |

i won't thing it will replace 5770.. more or less the lower-end such as 56XX and 55XX/54XX..
6850/6870 is actually the successors of 5750/5770.. |

But now still way too early to speculate bout it... QUOTE(Piros @ Nov 3 2010, 01:34 PM) I confirm skipping 6000s for my main rig, 5870CF still very much alive and kicking, no point changing. Depend on future games, if I still can Max setting on my favourite games, I might even skip 7000s... |
